I.)iese Umwandlung

Before the inorganic oxidizing agents proposed as disintegrating agents

It is true that the violent action of inorganic oxidizing agents can be traced back to a well-known one

in Mengen
It has also been proposed to use flour and other milling products
to bleach by adding organic peroxides to them
in quantities
added by about a few hundredths of a percent and left the mixture to itself.
The present procedure is fundamentally different from this. Just by mixing
a few hundredths of a percent of an organic peroxide can be dissolved with flour
Starch product does not win, rather it only finds a certain bleaching of the
Flour with consumption of the small amounts of the added peroxide. After this
In contrast, in the case of the present method, a real breakdown takes place through treatment
of starch or starch-like substances with organic oxygen compounds
in the presence of water. Example The starch is mixed with i ° / o one of the following
Oxygen compounds either dry or in aqueous suspension and boil
with an average of 10 parts of water; first, as usual, a paste is created,
which turns into a flowing solution after about 10 to 15 minutes of boiling.
The oxygen compounds used are, for. B. ethyl hydroperoxide, ethyl peroxide,
Benzoyl peroxide, acetone peroxide or peracids; such as phthalic monoperic acid or isopropylnaphthalene sulfoperic acid.
