Der eigentliche Filterstoff 18 wird, wie in Fig. 2 dargestellt ist, über ein U-förmiges, aus Pappe, Holz oder einem anderen zweckmäßigen Werkstoff bestehendes Spann- und Haltestück 19 gespannt, dessen eine Wand mit Zähnen 20 versehen ^J5 ist, so daß eine wellen- oder zickzackförmige Auflagefläche für das Filterstoffstück gebil det wird. Nach Aufsetzen des Filterstoffstükkes 17 auf das Spann- oder Haltestück 19 verläuft ersteres längs den Flanken der Zähne 20 und schließt sich der Wellen- oder Zickzackform des Spann- und Haltestückes 19 an. Erforderlichenfalls wird das Filterstoff stück 17 auf dem Spann- oder Haltestück 19 festgeklebt. Auf diese Weise bildet der Filter-5 stoff 17 mit seinem Halter 19 einen Raum 21, wie in Fig. 3 dargestellt ist. Von dem Raum 21 führt 'eine Öffnung 22 zu der Ausblaseöffnung 11. Durch Erhöhung der Zahl der Zähne 20 kann die wirksame Wellen- oder Zickzackfläche des Halters 19 und" damit auch des Filter StO ff Stückes 17 vergrößert werden, da die Länge des letzteren durch die Gesamtlänge der Flanken der Zähne 20 bestimmt wird. Um ein Flattern der einzelnen Wellen das Stoffstückes 17, wodurch die Fähigkeit des Filters, Bakterien abzufangen, verringert würde, zu verhindern, werden zweckmäßig Spannfedern 23 o. dgl. angeordnet, durch welche das Stoff stück 17 auf dem Halter 19 festgehalten wird. Der Ringkörper 16 bzw. dessen Flansch 29 ist mit einem nach innen gerichteten ringförmigen Ansatz 24 versehen, dessen äußerer Durchmesser dem Durchmesser der Öffnung 22 im Halter 19 entspricht und auf den Boden des letzteren aufgeschoben werden kann, wie.aus Fig. 1 hervorgeht. Dadurch wird verhindert, daß Luft in die Ausblaseöffnung 11 eintritt, ohne das Filter 17 durchströmt zu haben. Beim Abnehmen des Ringes 16 wird auch das Filter 17 aus dem Staubsauger herausgenommen und kann ausgewechselt werden. Da die durch dieses Filter strömende Luft in dem eigentlichen' Staubabscheider bereits gereinigt worden ist, braucht ein Reinigen oder Erneuern des.
