Description
Electrode for electromedical purposes, preferably coagulation electrode, for connection to a high-frequency apparatus The invention relates to an electrode for electromedical. Purposes, preferably coagulation electrode, for connection to a high-frequency apparatus, which according to the invention consists of one except for the free Permanent tip with a metal tube provided with an insulating material, preferably Steel tube, in the form of a hollow needle and for sucking off purulent liquids is set up. The electrode is expedient at its point facing away from the tip End with a spherical piece to which either an injection or Suction syringe (record syringe) or by means of an adapter the usual Way formed electrode connection cables of a high-frequency apparatus connected can be. The intermediate piece used can consist of a metal part that has on one side a cone for insertion into the end piece of the electrode and on the other side as a plug pin to be inserted into did plug socket of the connecting cable is formed. It arises when using an intermediate piece at the same time the advantage that the connection cable is soiled and infected prevented by the pus flowing out after the hollow needle has been inserted is. It is advisable to use a boil-resistant one on which Metal pipe 'firmly adhering insulating material, for example hard rubbers, or any Pressing material that can withstand the boiling required for sterilization. Of the The insulating cover is naturally kept as thin as possible.
A hollow needle for medical purposes has already become known, which is also designed as an electrode. However, this hollow needle will not connected to a high frequency apparatus but to a direct current source have electrolytic treatment of the bloodstream. The well-known facility So serves a completely different purpose than the invention and points accordingly also a different design of the hollow needle as an electrode. Also differs the known arrangement of the invention precisely in that the. Hollow needle is completely provided with an insulating coating, while for the 'electrode according to It is essential to the invention that the tip remains free of the insulating coating. This difference is crucial, because the one aimed at with the well-known hollow needle Electrolytic treatment of the bloodstream is only feasible, albeit the tip the hollow needle is insulated, because only then will it be properly taken care of The direct current is through the bloodstream and not through other parts of the body is directed.
The advantages achieved by the invention are based on the in the Fig. I illustrated exemplary embodiments explained. The hollow needle i i ends in a metal cone 12, in which an injection syringe (record syringe) is used can be: The needle is except for the remaining free tip with an insulating cover 13 provided. An insulating cap 1.:1 is around the metal cone 12 and the end of the insulating cover 13 laid. If the hollow needle is to be connected to a high-frequency apparatus as an electrode are, so the in Fig. 2 with 15 designated adapter, which is on the one side has a cone for attaching the hollow needle; on the other hand on the other hand is designed as a pin, inserted into the metal cone 12 of the hollow needle, whereby the hollow needle is closed at the same time. About the as a connector pin formed part of the intermediate piece 15 is then the normally formed socket 16 of the electrode connection cable leading to the high-frequency apparatus (diathermy apparatus) 17 pushed and in this way the connection of the hollow needle as an electrode to the High frequency apparatus causes.
The hollow needle according to the invention can be used in the following manner become: It is, for example, in an abscess, spec. Douglas abscess, stabbed. A record syringe is then inserted into the normalized cone 12 and with it made a trial puncture. Is there pus and you want the abscess open, that's how you push in. Removal of the record syringe the adapter 15 fn the cone of the hollow needle, and by pushing the socket 16 onto the plug part of the intermediate piece 15 is the connection with the high frequency diathermy apparatus manufactured. After switching on the diathermy machine, the hollow needle becomes slow pulled out of the abscess, leaving the tip uninsulated The hollow needle coagulates from a channel through the abscess wall, which depending on the dosage of the coagulation routine has a larger or smaller diameter. It results the advantage of this is that you are no longer forced to do a test puncture remove the puncture needle and then use the scalpel or other instrument to gain access to the abscess, especially for beginners or Inexperienced often presents difficulties. Through the electrical melting of the wound canal there is no gelling of the wound edges. As a result, one is not forced to Insert a drain to keep the abscess open. Tests have shown that expediently the tip of the hollow needle approximately 1 cm in length without an insulating cover remain.
