Solche Treibmittel, also hauptsächlich Wasser, führen aber bisweilen Unreinlichkeiten mit sich und können daher für Feuerlöschpumpen nicht verwendet werden, da diese ohne lange Vorarbeiten sofort zur Förderung bereit sein müssen.
