Es wurde gefunden, daß man die katalytische Hydrogenisation von Oxyden des Kohlenstoffs vorteilhaft in Gegenwart der bisher für diese Zwecke noch nicht benutzten Metalle Vanadin, Niob und Tantal oder ihrer Legierungen einschließlich der Hydride, Nitride und Carbide für sich oder in Mischung miteinander oder mit anderen Verbindungen ausführen kann.
