Der Antrieb der Krummzapfenwelle, an deren Stelle auch eine Kurbeloder Excenterwelle treten kann, ist in zwei Lagern gelagert und kann durch Riemscheiben, Räderübertragung oder Kurbelmechanismus erfolgen.
