worden, statt Metall dünnes Glasrohr von-einigen Zehntel M;il7imetern Durchmesser
Instruments @elektrostatische Aufladungen annehmen, wodurch Fehlanzeigen verursacht
Pointers for measuring instruments The pointers of measuring instruments .for the
Electrical engineering and other areas should respond to the measured value as quickly as possible
to adjust. The pointer Mild with the pointer holder - and the coils attached to it
and the like, mostly an aperiodically damped system, whose adjustment all the faster
takes place, the shorter the oscillation time is. As is well known, has the moment of inertia on it
of the system has a considerable impact. The proportion of the pointer in the moment of inertia
of the system is not to be neglected. To him. it is suggested to reduce it
Instead of metal, a thin glass tube a few tenths of a meter in diameter
to be used for the pointer, the weight of which is thereby considerably reduced
will. As a result, the oscillation time of the system is also significantly reduced.
However, these glass pointers have the disadvantage that they are compared to other parts of the
Instruments @ accept electrostatic charges, causing false readings
which can be so big that the instrument becomes unusable.
According to the invention, this disadvantage is associated with pointers for measuring instruments
and the like made of insulating material, preferably a fine glass tube, thereby remedied,
that the surface of the pointer according to the invention in other devices known
With a thin, conductive coating to dissipate electrostatic charges
is provided. A metallic coating can preferably be used for this purpose,
the z. B. consists of platinum, gold or silver and gradually, one from the ke-anic
and the glass industry or in the manufacture of resistors
is burned on the pointer surface. Naturally, the
Charges after the other parts of the measuring instrument are taken care of, for which purpose
between the pointer holder and the metallic surface of the pointer an electrical
conductive connection is provided, for example by simple. Soldering on
on the pointer holder and on the metallic one. Surface is attached. The above
The pointer training described can of course also be applied to pointer made of quartz or
use other similar substances.
B. aus Gold a. dgl.
Using the drawing, an exemplary embodiment of the subject matter of the invention is shown
explained. In it, .mit i denotes a thin glass tube that is greatly enlarged
is shown and at the front -in a tip runs out, while at the other end m
a resilient, slotted metal sleeve a of the pointer holder is clamped and thus
serves as a pointer. On it is the highly conductive layer 3 z. B. made of gold a. like
applied, which is used to dissipate electrostatic charges, and to this
Purpose is electrically connected to the pointer holder. This is done via a
on the metal sleeve z provided approach q. and a solder drop 5, the last one
