Process for the production of azo dyes on the fiber It has been found that the compounds obtainable according to patent 614 198 by the action of the diazonium salts of substituted water-insoluble aromatic amines on cyanamide or its salts are excellent. Production of azo dyes on the fiber is suitable. During acidification, they are split into the original diazo compound, metal halide and urea in the sense of the equation R # N = N-NM-CN + H20 + .2HC1- RN @ Cl + MCl-4-H2N-CO # NH2, with the free Triazene of the formula RN - N-NH-CN- occurs. These properties make the compounds valuable for dyeing and fabric printing. On the one hand, the stable salts only provide ready-to-smoke diazo solutions through acidification, in which a feedback is no longer possible when blunting because of the change in the stabilizer. On the other hand, they can be combined with the usual coupling components in an alkaline way without coupling occurring, and the mixture thus prepared gives, printed by the usual method and developed in acidic media, full and beautiful prints which can be deeper than those using the corresponding known diazoamino compounds produced prints. For the development of the goods printed with a compound of the above-mentioned composition and a coupling component, the action of carbonic acid by hanging is sufficient in some cases. in the air. The mixtures of compounds of the above-mentioned composition with the usual coupling components, optionally with the addition of wetting or dispersing agents, are preparations which can be kept for any length of time. Example i give 2.6 g of the salt prepared by condensation of 5-nitroimethoxybenzene-2-diazonium chloride with sodium cyanamide and dissolving, with 3.1 g of i- (2 ', 3'-oxynaphthoylamino) naphthalene, 24 ccm, what ; siar, 3.ccm turkish red oil, 3 ccm sodium hydroxide solution dissolved in the warmth, mixed with 50 g starch-tragacanth thickener and filled with water to 100%, a durable printing paste that is printed on, dried and in acid steam or by acid passage (ant or Acetic acid) to a full; real Bordeaux 'is being developed.
