Description
In manchen Fällen, z. Process for conveying solids through gutters, pipes and the like. The invention relates to a method for conveying solid substances, e.g. B. of stones, Gravel, earth @o. Like., through gutters, lines, o. Like., Preferably using of compressed air. Such processes are already known. In the so-called blow-molding process z. B. cavities in mines are filled with earth, stones, etc. that a mixture of the backfill material made with water and using compressed air in the cavities to be filled is pressed. In some cases, e.g. B 'in promoting of powdery substances, such as dusted charcoal or ash, is also applied to dispensed with water and the conveyed material only with compressed air through the lines pressed by ensuring that an intimate mixing of the conveyed material with the conveying air, so to speak a kind of coal-air emulsion or air-ash emulsion, is formed. The term emulsion is actually out of place here, since it is is not a .real emulsion, but is sometimes used in the literature used to symbolize the intimate mixture of the individual components. However, the disadvantage of all these methods is that the task device where the compressed air is fed to the material, as well as a strong one in the conveying lines Wear as well as corrosion and erosion phenomena occur. One has therefore; to reduce the wear and tear of the conveyor, already proposed the add oil to dry material to be conveyed. For this you need, however, if you really wants to achieve that the individual particles of the material to be conveyed, as well as the conveying lines are even coated with a layer of oil, so immense amounts of oil that thereby the practical application of this proposal, e.g. B. especially for the -blow displacement process, in the. Question is asked. The procedure is therefore only in the. applicable in cases where the presence of the oil for other, not just transport reasons: desirable is,. z. B. in the production of so-called. Fluidized coal, a mixture of coal dust and oil, which, like liquid fuel, pushes through pipes and out of nozzles lets burn. In this case, if one uses the term emulsion again wants to use a coal-oil emulsion, i.e. an emulsion of the conveyed material the funding. Naturally, this is only possible if that The conveyed material is powdery or dusty.
In contrast, the essence of the invention is that to promote solid. substances, e.g. B. of stones, gravel or earth, through lines, gutters o. a water Oil emulsion, formed from water and: one light time water @emulsifiable oil, is formed and added to the material to be conveyed. The order in which the individual components are added is irrelevant at. For example, the preformed emulsion can be added to the material to be conveyed or @ it can also be added first the water and then the oil, care must be taken to ensure that there is thorough mixing and thus emulsion formation occur. The addition of water can of course be used in the event that the conveyed material already contains enough water.
The emulsion added to the conveyed material and intimately mixed with it coats the individual parts of the material with its thin but extremely resistant skin. At the same time, a thin, wear-resistant film is formed on the metal parts of the feeding and conveying device that come into contact with the material. A sufficient lubricating effect is produced by this film in order to considerably reduce wear; the film also has an anti-corrosive effect. In this way, it is cherished to achieve a significant reduction in the wear effect with very small amounts of oil, as has been demonstrated by means of large-scale trials. This makes the process economically feasible even for those cases in which, as in the case of the blow batch process, the presence of oil would not be required per se.
B. Steine. So the following features are necessary to the essence of the invention to be marked: _ z. There must be a material to be conveyed, which the emulsion is added. The conveyed material is therefore not part of the emulsion. It takes not necessary to be dusty or powdery, but can also be lumpy, such as B. stones.
2. Es ist die Anwesenheit von Wasser erforderlich.2. The presence of water is required.
The presence of oil is required, but not just any any oil, but its oil, which is easily emulsifiable with water.
q;. Care must be taken to ensure that there is an intimate mixing the 'emulsion constituent and thus its emulsion formation occurs.
Any mineral oil that can be used as an easily emulsifiable oil z. B. of the lubricating oil type containing a suitable emulsifier, apply. as In particular, the oil-soluble alkali metal salts of sulfonic acids are used as emulsifiers Consideration that occurs when mineral oils are treated with sulfuric acid.
As further examples of the application of the method according to the invention are mentioned :. Ash removal systems in boiler houses, processing methods with Blast furnace slag, transport of granulated soils, ore grits, coke grits and the like.
