Description
Die Erfindung bezieht sich auf die Herstellung weiß getrübter Emails und Glasuren, insbesondere Eisenemails, bei welchen Gastrübungsmittel im Verein mit Emailfritten verwendet werden, die an sich im Schlicker gegenüber normalen Emailfritten erhöhte Kolloidalität bzw. größere kolloidale Anteile aufweisen, zweckmäßig Emailfritten, bei welchen die kolloidalen Eigenschaften durch chemischeThe invention relates to the production of white enamels and glazes, in particular iron enamel, in which gas opacifiers are combined with enamel frits can be used, the increased colloidality in the slip compared to normal enamel frits or have larger colloidal fractions, expediently enamel frits, in which the colloidal properties are due to chemical
By changing the composition of the enamel set (i.e. the unmelted raw mixture), ζ. B. by increasing the fluorine content, enamel frits are obtained in which the colloidal properties are increased compared to those of ordinary enamel frits even with normal grinding. To give Email sentences having twice the usual fluorine content of normal email sets, di about 5 ° / 0 fluorine-containing email sets, ie z. B. 10% fluorine and more, this property, for this purpose of the fluorine-containing substances especially the addition of silicofluoroalkali, such as. B. Silica fluorosodium alone or in combination with clay, feldspar o. The like. Has proven. Such frits can also be obtained by using an enamel set with a normal fluorine content, but "the ratio of alkali to boric acid is considerably greater than in the usual enamel sets Combination of both measures, i.e. both a reduction in the boron content and an increase in the alkali content, can be achieved Using standing enamel sets, the average ratio of alkali to boric acid can be assumed to be about I 1 Z 2 parts of alkali to 1 part of boric acid Email sentences in which the Ve ratio of alkali to boric acid above 2: 1, such as. B. 3: ι to 5: 1, the alkali content of an optionally added alkali-containing fluorine compound is not included.
It is also useful to check the aluminum content; so z. B. the addition of clay, feldspar 0. Like. To increase the raw mix.
The most favorable composition for the fries can be determined empirically in each case Determine ways by means of measures known in colloid chemistry.
Bei der Verwendung solcher Fritten tritt manchmal der Übelstand auf, daß das EmailWhen using such fries, the problem sometimes arises that the enamel
beim Einbrennen einen Schleier bekommt bzw. matt wird.gets a haze or becomes dull during baking.
The invention is based on the finding that this drawback is avoided it is possible that the influence of the substances favoring the water binding of the clay, the are present in the enamel slip, degrades the clay without affecting the adsorption capacity affect the tone. According to the invention, the email on the Mill substances added, which an at least partial implementation of the existing in the slip Compounds that favor the water retention of the clay, such. B. Soda, Borax and the like, evidently with the formation of weaker effects on the sound Substances without adversely affecting the adsorption capacity of the clay through the addition of these substances will. Such substances are in particular hydrochloric acid or hydrochloric acid releasing substances, expediently hydrochloric acid salts with volatile ones Bases.
An example of a substance that is extremely effective is ammonium chloride, which is effective even in very small amounts. According to the invention, ammonium chloride is added in amounts of x / 2 to 2 per mille calculated on the frit or, instead of ammonium chloride, the amount of hydrochloric acid corresponding to such an amount of ammonium chloride, ammonium chloride being preferred to the use of hydrochloric acid. The addition of hydrochloric acid or ammonium chloride in the mill to colloidal enamels has nothing to do with the known use of thickening agents to ordinary enamels, which otherwise have to be added in much larger quantities.
1. 1000 g einer kolloidalen Fritte, 100 g Ton, 0,25 g Methylenblau als Trübungsmittel, 0,4 g Salpeter, 1 g Ammonchlorid werden auf der Mühle mit ungefähr 450 g Wasser vermählen.1. 1000 g of a colloidal frit, 100 g of clay, 0.25 g of methylene blue as an opacifier, 0.4 g of saltpeter, 1 g of ammonium chloride are used on the Grind the mill with about 450 g of water.
Instead of ammonium chloride, 2 1 2 2 ecm technical hydrochloric acid (30 ° / ,,) can be used.
2. 1000 g einer kolloidalen Fritte, 100 g Ton, 0,5 g Teer (trocken), 0,4 g Salpeter, 1 g Ammonchlorid werden auf der Mühle mit ungefähr g Wasser vermählen.2. 1000 g of a colloidal frit, 100 g of clay, 0.5 g tar (dry), 0.4 g saltpeter, 1 g ammonium chloride are on the mill with approximately Grind g of water.
