Process for the production of braces flaps from leather The production
of suspender flaps made of leather and related fabrics has so far been carried out in such a way that
that the flaps are punched out of the full in the form of use and, if necessary
Ready for use after inserting the retaining bracket by bending and sewing the upper flap
be made.
Since the legs of the flaps are relatively wide apart
quite wide sheets of leather are required to make them. It
: large waste is created by the cutouts between the legs, which are in the
As a rule, they can no longer be used.
u. dgl. einzupressen. These disadvantages are avoided by the method according to the invention,
at "velchem the flaps are first punched out with legs running approximately parallel to each other
and then brought into the use shape with diverging legs by pressing
will. This makes it possible to cut the flaps from narrow strips of leather
and avoid waste almost entirely. In many cases it can even be used as a starting material
even leather waste from other manufacturing branches can be used. That offers
The possibility of pressing processes by attaching a bending bead and seam lines
to facilitate further processing and, if necessary, decorative lines and designations
and the like.
Unteransicht. The procedure is briefly described below with reference to the drawing.
In the latter, Fig. I shows a sewn-on braces flap, as it was after the previous one
Process was finished stamped, Fig. 2 shows the stamped starting form according to the invention
manufactured flap, Fig.3 and q. an example of the lower press plate in front
and side view, FIGS. 5 and 6- the associated upper press plate in section and
Bottom view.
As an example, there are front flaps with unequal legs
chosen. The process is analogous to the production of the rear
Flaps used with two symmetrically lying legs of equal length.
zwei neben-,einander ausgestanzten Patten ausfallenden Lederteile. Beim Ausstanzen
As a comparison between Fig. I and 2 can readily be seen,
when punching out the first form, very considerable waste is created, both as a result of omission
of the leather located between the legs a and b as well as the between
two side-by-side, punched-out flaps falling out of leather. When punching out
the flap according to Fig.2 this waste can be reduced so much that: about only 22/3
of the leather otherwise required are required. This flap according to FIG. 2 is then
in a dry state, expediently at normal temperature or slightly warmed
placed on the lower press plate d (Fig. 3 and q) and with the buttonholes e over
pushed the pins f. Then the upper press plate g (Fig. 5 and 6) is placed in such a way that
that the pins f in the holes k: engage, at the same time the approach i the
Plate d penetrates into the recess h of the plate '. The panels are in this
Layer pressed against each other and thereby brought the flaps into the form of use.
