Abstract

The procedure includes one o more cycles, each comprising at least one of the following steps: placing the cork inside a container (6) with walls having perforations or apertures, said container (6) being located inside a sealable tank (1); closing said tank (1) and generating a controlled vacuum environment therein; rotating said container (6); and providing a liquid by spraying it on said cork from a pipe (36) having spraying nozzles (37) under a controlled jet pressure. The installation comprises a tank (1) housing said container (6), means for rotating the container (6) I a controlled manner, means for generating a vacuum in the tank (1), means for providing heat energy and means for providing a liquid on the cork.
