daß die Länge der Antriebshebel während des Betriebes einstellbar gemacht wurde;

The most varied mechanical options are available to enable the transmission ratio
Facilities were created, but all of them were multi-part and therefore expensive
and also had many other flaws. An improvement was achieved by
that the length of the drive levers was made adjustable during operation;
but even this device is still relatively multi-part, especially
also because these drive levers are usually also used to control the vehicle

to set up and thereby the crank length and thus the transmission ratio
change; but the known facilities of this type are cumbersome and only im

Finding is now a device through which it becomes possible in the case of a disabled vehicle

in that the one provided with a locking device, slidable on the crankshaft

is connected to the drive lever in such a way that, by actuating it, the lock

Kurbelzapfens. The invention is shown in the drawing, for example, and
although: FIG. 1 shows the arrangement of the device in a schematic side view
on an invalid vehicle, Fig. z the adjustment device for itself with the crank
in view, FIG. 3 shows a plan view with the upper part of the crank cut off
and Fig. q. a slightly modified embodiment of the crank and the adjustable
Crank pin.
An Stelle
The drawing shows the drive axle of the disabled vehicle b; on this axis sits a drive crank c on each side, on which one of the two drive levers provided on each such vehicle engages by means of an intermediate rod d, which is expediently adjustable in length. On the Kurb.elc the crank pin f _ v_erbaren_ made; in the illustrated embodiments, this is carried out by means of a slider g, which is guided on the crank c in the longitudinal direction and is limited in the movement in the maximum position by stops. In the embodiment according to FIGS. I to 3, the slider g encompasses the crank all around and thus forms a very stable guide; Because of the reinforcement of the crank at the bore for the drive axle, the slider is provided with an extension g ', by means of which it is possible to hold the crank pin f in the manner described above. This slider g is designed so that the crank pin f can be pushed back so far that it is conaxial with the drive axis a of the vehicle. In this position the crank length is equal to zero, and thus neither the hand lever nor the connecting lever would perform any movement; so that is according to the freewheel. In the crank pin f a resilient locking pin is arranged, which engages resiliently in corresponding notches k of the crank, and which can be actuated by a Bowden cable l or by other suitable means. The other end of the Bowden cable l is provided with the adjusting lever m and attached directly to the hand lever so that the driver can operate the lever m easily and comfortably while driving. Instead of a bowden cable, a lever linkage can of course also be used which is designed in such a way that it can follow the movement of the crank pin. It can be clearly seen without any further that you can make the crank pin f free at any time during the journey by means of this adjusting device 1, and then move it on the crank c by holding the hand lever e accordingly, whereupon, as soon as the crank pin f the The desired position has been taken, the locking pin is brought into engagement again or can jump in immediately by itself. The driver has it, comfortably in his hand, to initiate a corresponding lengthening of the drive cranks immediately while driving, for example at the beginning of an incline, so that the incline can be overcome with less effort. But as soon as he has reached the height, he can just as quickly and easily restore the ratio of the crank lengths, which is favorable for the plane, and if there is a slope, he can comfortably shorten the crank to the freewheel and thus the advantage offered. take full advantage and rest.

The in Fig. Q. illustrated embodiment shows the arrangement of the
