Description

Process for making a soap In the patent specification 6oo i3o a method is described using alkaline digested Silk substance to produce a soap with special properties.

It has now been shown that soaps and soap-like products can be used do not only produce using alkaline-digested silk substance can, but also any other type of digestion, after which a suitable preparation the silk substance is achieved into products with almost equally advantageous properties leads. You can: of course also mixtures of various types of disrupted silk substance incorporate into the soap mass. You can use raw silk or silk fibroin freed from sericin treat in liquefied ammonia, preferably at low temperature, and either adding the amount of water necessary for ammonium hydroxide formation to form the mass Process ammonia soaps or, better still, after the ammonia has evaporated, in a more familiar way Way the remaining water-soluble mass of raw silk or silk fibroin Add the soap mass while processing the whole thing to soap. Any other way of disclosure the silk substance, both the raw silk substance and the deboned silk fibroin can be used to produce a silk fabric with almost the same success, those, added during soap production, to products with special properties leads. For example, the solution of silk substance in liquefied sulfuric oxide, which after vaporization of the sulfur dioxide leads to a broken down silk substance, which can be added directly to the soap mass.

The silk substance opened in one of the known ways is incorporated into the soap. For example, one counts on 100 kg of hot liquid pavers Soap 40 kg of raw material. The silk substance digested by ammonia gives you either gradually add the soap directly or stir it in a kettle by yourself with any smaller amount of the soap. By carefully turning it over the digested mass is evenly distributed in the soap. After that the soap is dressed and shaped.

The mass digested by sulfur dioxide is after evaporation the sulphurous acid checked for acidic reaction and if necessary with alkali neutralized or with a slight excess of alkali offset. the Incorporation into the soap then takes place in the manner described. The amount of Incorporated silk substrate is of course variable and dependent on the respective Purpose of the soap. It can be within wide limits, for example from o, t to z5% and more, calculated on soap.
