Abstract
The invention relates to a device (5) that affects a train, comprising an installation (10) that is placed on a section of the track (20) which, when seen in the direction of travel, is located in front of a signalling device (30) for linear transmission of information. The installation (10) transmits a data signal to a railway vehicle on said section of the track (20), whereby said data signal contains an identifier that characterizes the signalling device (30) and status data referring to the state of said signalling device (30). The invention also comprises a transmitter (40) that is located in front of the section of track (20) in the direction of travel (35) and transmits dot-like information, emitting a control signal to the railway vehicle, whereby the signal identifier from the signalling device can be detected. In order to enable data signals from the inventive device to be evaluated by a railway vehicle when said railway vehicle cannot detect the relevant signal identifier of the next signalling device in the direction of travel, at least one auxiliary device (50) is arranged in the section of the track (20) for the transmission of dot-like information, whereby said auxiliary device transmits an additional control signal to the railway vehicle, enabling the signal identifier from the signalling device (30) to be detected.
