Abstract

This shading and light directing system (1) includes two panes or sheets (2,3) in a new combination with a louvered or Venetian blind (12). This has the usual rise, fall and turning actions. The blind allows a room interior to be shaded. A novel feature is the light deflector (30) between the panes, which has rigid reflectors (31). Sunlight falling upon these is completely reflected into the room, providing diffuse illumination. The panes are preferably acrylic, polycarbonate or polymethyl methacrylate.
