Zur Erhöhung der Kühlwirkung empfiehlt es sich, im Anker und Kern Bohrungen für den Durchtritt der Kühlluft vorzusehen oder diese Teile, soweit als möglich, hohl auszubilden. Es können auch an den dem Anker und dem Kern zugekehrten Wandungen der Magnetspule Kühlluftkanäle in Form von Nuten angebracht sein.
