Das neue Werkzeug besteht aus einem Stab mit durch Längsschlitzung
mehrfach unterteiltem Arbeitskopf mit einer eine Änderung der Spreizlage der Teilstücke
herbeiführenden Gleithülse auf dem geschlitzten Teil und kennzeichnet sich dadurch,
daß der geschlitzte Arbeitskopf von einer auf einem verjüngten Zapfen sitzenden
Halbkugel gebildet ist, eine Muffe durch eine die Halbkugel umschließende Höhlung
mit verengter Eintrittsöffnung kugelgelenkartig und lösbar aufnimmt, und die Muffe
einen aufragenden Dorn zum Aufsetzen des Gerätes aufweist. In Spreizlage des Arbeitskopfes
ist die Muffe somit fest mit dem Stab verbunden und das auf den Dorn aufgesetzte
Gerät kann leicht eingeführt werden. Die Stirnfläche der Muffe ist kegelförmig und
der Dorn zylindrisch, so daß nach der Einlagerung,des Gerätes die Muffe durch Zurückziehen
des Stabes ohne jede Verstellung von dem Gerät abgezogen werden kann. Zur Herausnahme
des Gerätes wird der Stab ohne die Muffe und mit gespreiztem Arbeitskopf eingeführt.
Die Halbkugel dringt unter vorübergehender Überwindung der Spreizlage ihrer Teile
in die bei der Einführung den Dorn der Muffe aufnehmende Bohrung des Gerätes ein,
verklinkt sich mit dieser und bildet somit eine feste Kupplung, so daß durch Zurückziehen
des Stabes das Gerät, mitgenommen wird. .
Eine Ausführungsform des
neuen Werkzeuges ist in der Zeichnung für den Fall dargestellt, daß dieses z. B.
zur Einführung eines Pessars dient. Es zeigen Fig. i eine teilweise geschnittene
Ansicht des Werkzeuges mit aufgesetztem Pessar vor der Einbringung desselben, Fig.
ia einen Querschnitt nach der Linie a-a in der Fig. i, Fig.2 die Stellung der Klemmhülse

Das stabförmige Werkzeug besteht aus dem Griffstück i und einem dieses
unter Zwischenfügung eines konischen -Übergangsteils 2 fortsetzenden, dünneren,
zylindrischen Zwischenstück 3, dessen Ende 4 kegelig erweitert ist. Auf einem unter
Zwischenfügung einer kegeligen Andrehung 16 abgesetzten Halszapfen 5 trägt der Stab
nach seiner Spitze zu eine Halbkugel 6. Die Halbkugel 6, der Halszapfen 5
und das Zwischenstück 4, 3 sind durch Radialschnitte 7 (Fig. ia) der Länge nach
geschlitzt und die entstandenen Teilstücke leicht abgespreizt. Auf dem geschlitzten
Zwischenstück 3, 4 gleitet eine Klemmhülse 8, deren Weg nach dem Griffstück i zu
durch den konischen Teil 2 begrenzt ist. Beim Übergang der Hülse 8 auf den kegeligen
Teil 4 werden -die Teilstücke der Halbkugel 6 zusammengepreßt. Die Halbkugel 6 nimmt
eine Muffe 9 auf, die sich mit einer Ausnehmung io über diese stülpt und mit einem
vorgezogenen Rand i i den Halszapfen 5 umfaßt. Die Abmessungen des Zapfens 5 und
der Halbkugel 6 sowie der Ausnehmung io mit dem vorspringenden Rand i i sind so
gewählt, daß bei nach dem Griffstück i verschobener Hülse 8 die Halbkugel 6 von
dem Rand i i der Aussparung io der Muffe 9 zurückgehalten wird, während bei auf
das kegelige Zwischenstück 4 vorgeschobener Hülse 8 die Muffe 9 von der Halbkugel
6 abgezogen werden kann. Der vorspringende Rand i i ist nach außen abgerundet, so
daß die Muffe 9 gegenüber der Stabachse verschwenkt werden kann, die Verbindung
zwischen den beiden Teilen also kugelgelenkartig wirkt. Die Stirnfläche 12 der Muffe

Zum Einführen eines Gerätes, etwa eines Pessars, in Körperhöhlen wird
die Muffe 9 auf den Stab aufgesetzt und durch Zurückschieben der Hülse 8 auf diesem
gesichert. Das Pessar 14 wird mit einer Bohrung 15 in der Kappe 17 auf den Dorn
aufgesetzt und dann eingeführt (Fig. i). Durch die bewegliche Kupplung der Muffe
9 mit dem Stab kann das Pessar sich gegen die Stabachse neigen, so daß das Pessar
eine gewisse Beweglichkeit beim Eintritt in den Cervicalkanal hat, was die Handhabung
wesentlich erleichtert. Der Stab wird nach der Einlagerung des Pessars mit der Muffe
g zurückgezogen (Fig.2). Zwecks Herausnahme des Pessars wird der von der Muffe befreite
Stab i bei zurückgeschobener Hülse 8, also bei offenen Schlitzen 7, in den Scheidenkanal
und das Pessar eingeführt (Fig.3), dessen Stutzen 15 den Kopf 6 unter der Spreizwirkung
der Stabteile hinterfängt. Zum Lösen des herausgeholten Pessars vom Werkzeug wird
