Abstract
The control device (RE) for the drop size (d) of the spent liquor (SLD) sprayed into a spent-liquor combustion vessel (LVK) in a spent-liquor combustion plant (LVA) is provided with an upstream set-value element (SO) for the drop size (d*). This set-value element re-forms the set value (d*) with the aid of measured values of the density (D), the calorific value (HQ) and the mass flow (FF) of the spent liquor. The nitrogen oxide (NOx) content and carbon monoxide content (CO) of the waste gas (AG), the ash quality (Q) and the combustion chamber temperature (TF) can be used as further measured parameters. The control system (RE) preferably includes a spray controller (ZR) which acts on a spraying steam feeder (ZDZ) to a spraying nozzle (ZD). In addition, a viscosity controller (VR) can be present which acts on a heating steam feeder (HD) to a preheater (VW) for the spent liquor (SLD). Finally, an ash analyser (AA) can be present which re-forms the ash quality (P), preferably from the ash whiteness (B) and the content of hydratable starting materials (MgOa). In this case, the density (DA), the atomic mass ratio (u) and the pH value of the ash can also be taken into account. <IMAGE>
