Abstract

The invention relates to a centrifugal separator with turbine and a fixed casing, which is provided with one or more inlets for material to be separated, one or more separating air inlets, one or more fines/separating air mixture outlets, one or more coarse fraction outlets, a separating turbine which is mounted in the casing on both end faces and has a horizontal turbine spindle, and a bucket ring which bends the separating chamber, aligns the separating air and has buckets which are adjustable both at a radial distance from the turbine spindle and to an inflow direction which is tangential to the circumference of the turbine, and are perforated in one segment to permit feeding of material to be separated and discharging of the coarse fraction. The invention is based on the object of devising a centrifugal separator with turbine, in which the turbine is designed both as a separator and as an operating fan, and in which separating air and fines blow through part of the turbine from the outside inwards at a correspondingly low radial speed for separation of the fines and flow from the inside outwards at a radial speed which is many times greater to discharge the separating air and the fines.
