drate in Kugelform überzuführen.
Process for converting alkali salts into spherical form by
the main patent 586 506 is a process protected to easily drainable Alkalialzhy
to convert drate into spherical form. It is used here by those under normal conditions
stable hydrates, such as Glauber's salt, crystal soda, etc., assumed.
As has now been found, crystal masses can also be used as starting materials
with a water content lower than that stable at ordinary temperature
Use hydrates. Milan can therefore be made from already otherwise pre-dried or partially
hydrated alkali salts, even anhydrous salts. The two
the first can be directly subjected to the drying and molding process,
while the last with limited amounts of water or a solution of the subject
Salt to a crumbly molasses or to a pulp, which after
solidified to a solid mass for a few hours. After chopping the salt cake
the salt powder is placed in the rotating drum according to the method of the main patent
dehydrated with air and shaped at the same time. The amount of water to be evaporated
is less in this procedure than when using the usual hydrates, however
the water content of the salt mass should not be less than about 1/2 "of the water content
of normal hydrates. The advantage of this way of working is the abbreviation
the drying and molding process for% to 1% "of the time, further in that
one can start from the mostly cheaper anhydrous salts.
Nag C 03.
H2 O auf i Mol. Nag C 03.
Beispiel
The process can also be carried out if any hydrous or anhydrous metal salts in solid or dissolved form or other insoluble inorganic or soluble or insoluble organic substances are added to the alkali salt mass, expediently before solidification. It can e.g. For example, it may be advantageous to add other substances suitable for washing purposes, such as sodium phosphate, sodium perborate, urea, when shaping soda. Dyes that are difficult to granulate can easily be shaped with the additives (sodium sulfate) required in the dyeing process. The present process differs from the known process of C hampy for granulating explosive powders with effervescence of water on the pulverulent mass, with water droplets providing the core for the spherical structures, in that the present process is based on water-containing salts and at the same time drainage during the shaping takes place by a stream of air. It is therefore limited to those salts that are able to form solid hydrates. EXAMPLE 100 parts of anhydrous soda are mixed with 100 parts of a cold, saturated soda solution. After a few hours, the salt paste solidifies into a firm salt cake. The water content is 4.8 mol. To 1 mol. Nag C 03. The crystal mass is comminuted (particle size up to 2 mm). The dewatering now takes place in a rotating drum according to the examples of the main patent. The drying and shaping process is completed in half the time. Balls of 3 to q, mm and a water content of 2 mol. H2 O to 1 mol. Nag C 03 are obtained. Example e 80 parts of anhydrous soda and 20 parts of solid sodium perborate, both finely powdered, are mixed well and mixed with 100 parts cold saturated soda solution. After a few hours, the salt paste solidifies into a solid, easy-to-grind mass. After crushing, the salt powder is dried and shaped in the rotating drum according to the main patent. Salt balls are obtained with a diameter of 1 to 2 mm and a content of 76 % sodium carbonate, 3.6% sodium perborate, the remainder being water. Example 3 100 parts of anhydrous sodium sulfate are mixed with 100 parts of a saturated sodium sulfate solution. 50 parts of a water-insoluble dye, e.g. B. Black sulfur, stirred in. After a few hours, the salt paste solidifies into a solid salt mass, which is crushed and then dewatered and dried in the rotating drum. The approximately 1 to 2 mm large spheres contain 30 % dye and 70% sodium sulfate.
This gives a dyestuff which is shaped into beads and which has the
Contains the amount of sodium sulphate required for the dyeing process from the start. For the dyer means
there are great advantages in having both substances in an even mixture and in a more convenient dosage
to get delivered.
