Abstract

The invention relates to an immersed propeller drive (10), in particular as a marine propulsion device, with a screw propeller (17) which is arranged in a nozzle (11) and the blade ends of which are connected to one another via a peripheral ring binding (18) with integrated permanent magnets (20) (rotor 19) and the stator (22) of which is arranged in the fixed part of the nozzle (11), the gap (21) between stator (22) and rotor (19) being flooded. In order to prevent deposits in the area of the gap, it is proposed to set an axial laminar flow in the U-shaped gap (21). To this end, the gap can be connected to at least one axial suction line leading to the nozzle end.
