Abstract

In a space divider element (1), cold-rolled sections made of sheet metal are envisaged as section supports (2) and cross-members (3), the flange plates (16), which serve for the suspension of the space divider plates (8) via suspension connections (10), of the section supports (2) being fastened to the one-piece section cross-piece (17) lying in between via one-piece form-fit members (30) which are formed in such a manner by means of bending tongues (31), which are punched out of the flange plates (16) and engage through punched openings, that the tongue bends of these bending tongues (31) form the lower limits of suspension openings for the mountings to be inserted through the plate joints (11). The cross-members (3) are designed practically identically in cross-section to the flange plates (16) and fastened in such a manner via cross-member connectors (13) inserted from outside that two cross-members (3), which lie opposite one another at a distance, form a cross-member connection and, between them and over the entire height of the section supports (2), a continuous insulation (9) can be provided. The suspension connections (10) are designed in such a manner that the space divider plates (8) are drawn with their inner sides against lips of joint seals (15) which are designed in one-piece with a joint cover (14), lying behind the respective joint (11), for the section support (2). The joint cover (14) can be broken through, by means of the respective mounting and with formation of lip seals, in the region of a predetermined breaking line in order to make accessible the suspension openings lying behind. Consequently, a particularly good heat-insulating and sound-insulating as well as stable mobile space divider is produced with simple construction, light weight and good mountability. <IMAGE>
