Method for drying long seamless tubes from regenerated
Cellulose The subject of patent 534,241 is a method for drying hose-like
A structure of considerable length made of regenerated cellulose, which consists of
that one: the hose helically around two drums lying apart from each other
wraps, inflates and dries it while moving. This procedure brings how
has shown certain difficulties with it. If you want the one from the
Roll the coming, not dried hose in the form of a tape helically around the
Wind the roller of the drying apparatus in order to then inflate it, so it tends to twist
to perform yourself, which in turn has difficulty inflating the tube
caused. On the other hand, if you remove the dried hose from the air supply nozzle
and tries to wind it as a ribbon on a spool: so there are numerous folds
in the hose. The process also has the disadvantage of being carried out batchwise.
In further elaboration of the process of the main patent was now
found that the difficulties mentioned can be avoided; when you get the hose
dries in the way. that it is continuously helical in several turns
guided around two mechanically driven guide rollers located at a distance from each other,
in a chamber lying between these rollers in a straight line: dried and then
is passed onto a winding drum, prior to being wound onto the guide rollers
and continuously during drying into the tube from one of the winding drums
Air is blown in so that the hose is constantly inflated. This further
Training the process of the main patent has the significant advantage that one
can now carry out the drying process continuously, whereby the technical
Recovering this process is greatly facilitated. Furthermore, the
the new process dried hose in the subsequent winding, whereby the
If air is removed from the tube, it is better to get it smooth and wrinkle-free.
A device that can be used to carry out the new method
is, is shown in the drawing in Fig. I in elevation and in Fig. 2 in plan view.
ein Gummischlauch möglichst in so viel Windungen;
und a2, wodurch zunächst der Gummischlauch, dann der mitgezogene Celluloseschlauch;
A rubber hose is helically wound around the guide rollers ai and a2 of the drying apparatus in as many turns as possible; how the drums have space (see Fig. 2). The band-shaped cellulose tube to be dried, coming from the roll b, is attached to one end of the rubber tube, while the other end is pulled tightly over the nozzle d, which is firmly attached to a drum t. Air is then blown through the pipe r, the nozzle and the rubber hose into the hose and, by turning the drum and the mechanically moved guide rollers a1 and a2, wind it helically around the roller a and a2, whereby first the rubber hose, then the dragged one Cellulose tube; S is wrapped around the drum. At the same time, hot air is introduced into the drying cabinet. The speed of rotation of the rollers and the temperature of the air are adjusted so that the hose comes out of the apparatus dry. It is wrapped around the drum with constant inflation until it is full. Then one cuts off the hose in front of the drum and pulls it over the nozzle dl of the drum. Air is again introduced into the tube through the tube r1 and dried with constant movement, the dried tube being wound onto the drum in the inflated state. The hose wound on the drum is cut open at the nozzle d, the air is allowed to escape from it if possible and it is wound onto the spool p, which now works smoothly and without creases.
It is advisable to mount the drums on a slide in order to
to be able to move them sideways while the hose is being wound up, so that
the hose always runs onto the roller in the same direction and does not twist
to run yourself.
