Fuel valve for injection internal combustion engines The present
The invention relates to cooling on fuel valves for internal combustion engines.
angeordneten Leckölableitungsraum in Verbindung steht.
It is known to cool the fuel valve the inflowing
Use fresh oil. This arrangement results in a very large amount of harmful oil
between the fuel pump and the fuel valve. According to the larger amount of oil
therefore a greater pump work must be done, because of the high delivery pressures
and the compressibility of the oil, the stroke volume of the pump is much greater
must be than the volume of fuel delivered. The additional channels and the many
Diversions in the fresh oil supply line cause a very high pressure loss.
The delivery pressures must therefore be increased significantly so that in the injection nozzle
the fuel still has the necessary pressure for a good injection. This high one
But pressure has an unnecessary increase in the temperature of the fuel and thereby
a smaller cooling effect result. The present invention now consists in
that on the one hand a cooling chamber through which fuel flows and which surrounds the valve seat
through one or more channels with one between the 'valve guide and the itself
existing with little play in the valve body moving valve spring plate
Space and on the other hand through one or more channels with the one above the valve disk
arranged leakage oil discharge space is in communication. The inlets and outlets to the
Cooling chambers are arranged at an angle to the valve axis, around the coolant a circular
To give movement, so that the leak oil emerging from the spindle guide on his
Discharge path acts as a coolant to cool the nozzle. The invention can also
be designed so that, in addition to the cooling space for the leakage oil, another cooled by this-
Cooling space for another coolant, primarily water, is available.
In den Fig. i
und Fig.2 ein Horizontalschnitt nach der Linie a-a der Fig. i.The use of leak oil from fuel valves for cooling purposes
has considerable compared to the known use of fresh oil to cool the nozzle
Advantages. The simplicity of the fuel supply line to the nozzle without additional bends
result in a smaller amount of oil between the injection nozzle and the fuel pump and thus
a correspondingly lower pump work. The resistances in the lines remain
also small, which means that they are considerably lower than the known versions
Delivery pressures are required, which has a longer service life and operational reliability
the fuel pump parts, and the injector, etc. as well as a better cooling effect
as a result of the lower heating.
In Figs
and FIG. 2 of the drawing shows an exemplary embodiment of the subject matter of the invention.
Fig. I is a vertical section through a fuel valve according to the invention
and FIG. 2 is a horizontal section along the line a-a of FIG.
Wirklichkeit zu beiden Seiten der Ventilspindel 2, wie in Fig. 2 dargestellt, angeordnet.i is that part of the combustion cylinder in which the fuel valve
is built in. 2 is the valve spindle, which by the pressure of the spring 3 means
of the spring plate 4 is pressed onto its seat 5. The fuel gets under
high pressure through the line 6 into the annular space 7 surrounding the valve spindle.
During the injection period, the pressurized fuel entering this space lifts
the fuel valve spindle and opens the fuel supply channel 8 and arrives
through the injection holes g into the combustion cylinder. The fuel valve spindle 2
escaping along fuel enters the space io below the plate 4 of the
Spring 3 and is from there, for. B. upward, discharged. According to the invention
a space i i is arranged outside the spindle guide 12. This room is now
connected to the room io by a supply line 13 and a discharge line 14, in such a way that
that it also fills with leakage oil. The supply channel is arranged lower than
the drainage channel, and there are the mouths of the channels 13 facing away from the space i i,
14 separated by the fitted with little play spring plate 4, so that the largest
Part of the fuel leaking along the spindle 2 is forced to pass through the channels 13,
14 as well as the space i i to flow through before it is derived from the space of the spring 3
can be. The two supply lines are arranged approximately diametrically to each other,
as can be seen from FIG. In Fig. I is only the relative position in the
Vertical plane of the two openings 13 and 14 shown. The two channels are in
Reality on both sides of the valve spindle 2, as shown in Fig. 2, arranged.
As shown in Fig. I, another room 15 can be used for a second
Coolant, preferably water, may be provided. This is between the mother
16, which with the valve insert 17 and the spindle guide 12 forms the space i i,
internally limited, externally by the valve whistle 18. The coolant is through
the line i9 supplied and discharged through the line 2o. The technical effect of the
The subject of the invention consists in the fact that the coolant circulating in the space i i
the spindle guide 12 and thus also the spindle e is kept cool.
The proposed arrangement of the supply and discharge lines 13 and
14 a rapid coolant circulation is guaranteed, whereby the heat dissipation increases
will. Furthermore, the present valve has the advantage that no special coolant
for the internal cooling is necessary by the escape along the valve spindle
Leak oil itself is used. Therefore, long inlets and outlets are unnecessary
with their sealing points for a special coolant and relatively short ones are sufficient
and easily arranged supply and discharge lines 13 and 14. The supply and discharge lines 13
and 14 can also, as shown in Fig. 2 by i 3 'and 14', to the valve axis
be arranged obliquely so that the coolant in the cooling space i i a rotational movement
is granted in the example shown in the sense of the clockwise direction of rotation.
