Automatic machine for making plunger ampoules It is already
a process for the manufacture of plunger ampoules with precisely prescribed contents
known, in which one has a glass tube corresponding in width to the neck of the ampoule
melts at one end and, thus closed, corresponding to the ampoule body
Part of the tube after heating until it softens while turning in a forming pliers
inflates.
The subject of the present invention now forms a machine by means of
which this procedure is carried out automatically. The ones melted shut at one end
Glass tube ends are automatically removed from the storage container and from here as well
automatically fed to the job, finished here and then again
automatically brought to the storage location.
In the drawing the machine is shown, but the control organs are
even omitted in the drawing, since these consist of cams, camshafts
and the like. Are formed in a known manner.
In dem Behälter a mit schrägem Boden b
liegen die einseitig
zugeschmolzenen Glasrohre c.
In the container a with a sloping bottom b are the glass tubes c melted shut on one side. The pipes c are individually removed from this container by grippers d, which are arranged on the transport chain e. When the tube c has reached the sliding surface e1, the tube is gripped by a resilient gripper f, which is moved upwards by a control, and is clamped firmly between the gripper jaws. This retention takes place on that part of the glass tube c which gives the neck part, that is to say gn the open end. The gripper f, which is arranged on the carriage ä, is then moved over to the right and places the glass tube between the three transport rollers la, i and k rotating in the same direction. The latter are set so that they forcefully push the glass tube to the left over to the outlet Z of the air supply tube m, which is attached for the blown air. The closed end of the glass tube c, while the tube is rotating, is heated by the flame n until it softens and the mold halves o and p are closed around this glass tube-de. The flame is automatically small beforehand, 'and the blown air switches on automatically, so that the end of the glass tube is inflated while the glass tube continues to rotate. The mold halves o and p diverge again, and a holder q grips the completely blown glass tube or the completely blown glass body and brings it onto the inclined sliding surface r. Both transport holders f and q can be arranged on a common fork s, which is located on the carriage g. So when the holder f grips the tube c, the holder q simultaneously grips the finished glass body and brings it to the sliding surface y, while the new tube to be machined is placed between the rollers h, i and k by the holder f. The holders automatically return to their original position.
As already mentioned, the control organs themselves have been omitted,
because the only thing that is new is the arrangement of the working parts.
