Description
Method of drying tapes The invention has a new method for drying tapes, films, strips, skin strips, especially glass skin, the subject, which is produced in a continuous process and made of viscose or similar cellulose materials are precipitated and in which the films during the Drying process z. B. be promoted via drying rollers and towards the end of the Be moistened again during the drying process. The invention enables the quality to increase the number of products considerably, to achieve smooth, flawless surfaces as well as the shrinkage losses occurring during drying to a fraction to decrease. This is achieved according to the invention in that when rewetting the tension in the skin is relaxed and restored after rewetting will.
Preferably, the tension is released and rewetted then as soon as at least three quarters of its moisture has been removed from the end product will. Baths that have certain properties of the product, z. B. suppleness, hardness, appearance, gloss, color, bring about or promote or are also water-displacing.
In an apparatus for carrying out the method according to the invention are connected to the drying line facilities, by means of which the to drying good acting tension is eased, z. B. by the speed of the drying stages separated by the draining and moistening device are adjustable or adjustable, one or more intermediate baths can also be used be switched on at this point to moisten the material. Between rewetting and the next drying stage, spreading devices can be switched on. The drying takes place preferably at moderate drying temperatures, about 5o to 70 ° surface temperature, so that the material as such is spared and easily accessible for intermediate treatment will.
Zur Erläuterung der Erfindung dient die Zeichnung. The drawing serves to explain the invention.
In Fig. Z, a drying device is initially illustrated schematically, in which the skin web to be dried z r either from a supply roller or from is fed to the production of the drying facility. The drying facility exists of two or more drying sections 1q., 15, between which an estate and Humidifier 16 is turned on. That arrangement to serve; in the case of rollers 20, 2I and Ä2, 23, the "skin to be dried" alternates carry from one side and the other and which are driven in any way are, for example via a common belt drive 28 or 29 of motors of any kind, e.g. B. electric motors 25; 26. For the independent adjustment of the Speed of both groups can be regulated between - motors "and belt drives 36, 3: 7 can be switched, for example conical Pulleys or the like. The motors themselves can also be controllable; also can the movement of the Groups of a common drive with the interposition of regulating gears, Transmissions and the like can be derived.
After the skin web has passed through the first drying section, which is the case as soon as it has given off about three quarters of its moisture, the tension is released and it passes via the guide rollers 31 to 34 through a bath 30 for rewetting.
By releasing the tension and re-wetting takes place initially an automatic compensation of the material stresses present in the material takes place, while the liquid uptake is relatively low despite the moistening is. This is because it is found in such products, in particular cellulose glass skins, that the capacity for liquids decreases rapidly, once about half of the moisture originally present in the product with which they reaches the drying device, is removed. For example, while the proportion the water for a cellulose product is about 800 ° 1a at the beginning of the drying process, is the product after its moisture has been withdrawn to between 20 and 30 ° A are no longer capable of more than about twice its cellulose weight to absorb moisture. It occurs through the absorption of this moisture a slight swelling of the material. However, this is only superficial and leads to all the bumps that are imprinted on the surface during the drying process have been compensated, so that a smooth,. uniform surface of the Material results. On the other hand, it is also possible in that condition of the skin those shrinkage losses that occur during the drying process across the width of the material occur to rebalance.
It is extremely difficult with the usual drying processes to avoid shrinking of the skin, the occurrence of which is due to the fact that the conveying speed of the skin web does not exactly match the shrinkage ratios matches; These undesirable effects occur particularly in the exposed areas of the skin Shrinkages, which are particularly noticeable unpleasant in that the goods lose their width considerably.
These disadvantages are avoided by interposing that one Process according to the invention. After the tension subsided and the material is moistened again, the tensions that result from the Shrinkage process have remained in the material. As a result, im further drying process the material regains part of its lost width. One can increase the recovery of the lost width by going between the Humidification device and the further drying section spreader 4o switches how they are common in the textile industry. As such spreaders, as in FIG. 2 shows, rollers 41 are used, which on the circumference are helical, opposing supports 42, 43 have. It can also be weak against each other as spreaders according to FIG inclined, conical rollers 45, 46 are used, the tips of which face one another are. - These spreaders exert forces on the material across the direction of conveyance and thus cause the skin to stretch out.
A squeezing device 34, 38 can be attached to the spreading device -connection, which wipes off the fluid that is carried away from the surface of the skin will. In order to control the weakening of the skin during the moistening process, the individual drying stages separated by the moistening device the system with separately controllable drives. By regulating the drive speed You then have it completely in your hand, the material during the rewetting period under the respectively desired, deviating from the voltage in the drying stages To keep tension.
Any bath can be selected as the bath, for example a Wash bath or any other bath that gives the product certain properties want to lend. For example, a glycerine bath can be inserted at this point or an oil bath to make the material supple or to protect it against the influence of Impregnate moisture. Baths such as alum can also be used, to harden the material, or ribbons for coloring the material or baths, which give the material a certain shine. Baths can also be used that displace the water contained in the product and thus the further drying process without making the product itself hard or brittle.
