Description

Protective covering made of a resilient bituminous mass with one or paper cladding on both sides There are already protective coverings made of bituminous masses known, which are provided with a paper covering on both sides. These paper layers serve as a carrier of the bituminous mass and prevent when stacking several such covering plates their sticking together. Such plates have the disadvantage that when bending the panels, the paper covering on the outside, which is stretched when bending will, tear; however, the paper covering on the inside can fold up without that the paper will be damaged. At the construction site a. such bending is less common occurrence; but it is unavoidable during transport when you have to measure the pavement mass as long ribbons, similar to roofing felt, and sends them rolled up. The paper covering would not be able to withstand such a curling up and would have to be on the outside of the curvature tear in many places, so that the roles in itself would stick together.

This disadvantage is remedied according to the present invention by da.ß at least on that side of the bituminous pavement layer that is curved or Rolled up on the outside, a paper garment is used, which is creped or corrugated, the longitudinal direction of the wrinkles of the creped or curled paper coincides with the direction of the take-up axis. On the in the sense of the curvature on the inside, one can of course also have one use creped or corrugated tipping paper; but you can also do the ordinary Use paper or cardboard.

The creped or corrugated paper has its wrinkles perpendicular to it a very considerable elasticity, which is due to the fact that these wrinkles, if a pull is exerted on the paper at right angles to them, smoothing out. Until the complete If the wrinkles are stretched, there is no risk of the paper tearing. Will If such a covering layer is curved, the crepe paper cladding on the outside expands, without tearing. If the covering layer is then laid flat again, in this paper layer reverts to the original wrinkles. One can therefore consider one as a long Roll up the tape produced covering layer similar to roofing felt, without the There is a risk of the clothing paper tearing and thus the risk of sticking together the role in itself.

Of course, you can also impregnate the crepe paper, as well like the smooth paper or cardboard clothing that may be used on the other side.
