Description

Sheets covered with protective compound that have raised areas on their surface and recesses, preferably of hemispherical shape, for building purposes are known to be thin, pullable and driftable sheet metal sheets directly or in Connection with protective compounds, such as bitumen, used for sealing. The surface of such sheets is often uneven. It has elevations or depressions on. In order to have the largest possible material reserve in relation to stretching loads To achieve the real clamping length, the unevenness in the form of spherical caps designed in such a way that each line of intersection through a sheet metal is undulating Course takes.

The sheet metal strips have a protective layer on one or both sides, an embedding compound or an adhesive layer.

It was observed that the sheet metal sheets covered in this way often had cracks in the metal surface after the rebate web was manufactured. This deficiency can usually not be eliminated even if a stronger one Sheet thickness is selected. Of course, care should be taken to ensure that the strength of the sheet is chosen so that the metallic material still has the required Flexibility and drawability guaranteed. Choosing a larger sheet thickness but is not desirable due to the additional cost of metallic material. Around to avoid the formation of cracks in the interlocking is proposed according to the invention, the sheets on the longitudinal edges in a required for the formation of the standing seam, The area beginning shortly before or at the edge of the rebate web is free of the elevations and to leave depressions as well as protective material. It has surprisingly show that the thickness of the sheet can be small, about 0.1 to 0.2 mm allowed. In this case, however, the metal tracks are used to form a sufficiently resistant To give the standing seam the required rigidity, are still. according to the invention in addition to single or continuous clips made of thicker sheet metal, also in the Area of the side lengths free of protective compound that are not used when forming the standing seam are rolled up, deformations are provided to increase rigidity.

Diese Verformungen können als Sicken ausgebildet sein. These deformations can be designed as beads.

Die Abbildungen veranschaulichen Ausführungsbeispiele der erfindungsgemäßen Bleche. The figures illustrate exemplary embodiments of the invention Sheets.

Fig. 1 shows a sheet metal in plan view. Fig. 2 illustrates a standing seam.

A dome-shaped corrugated sheet metal a is on its underside coated with a protective compound b, for example bitumen. Is along one side however, the sheet metal is neither corrugated nor covered with a protective compound. Are there bead-like deformations c that occur shortly before or on the fold to the rebate web start and stop before rolling in the sheet metal edges to form the standing seam.

To form a standing seam, the sheets are laid so that they come with their bare long sides to lie on top of each other, then a fold to be subjected.

The resulting fold d according to Fig. 2 still points to stiffening a bracket e that comes to lie between the two sheets.
