Description
B. Cyclohexanon, Kampfer u. a.The invention relates to a further embodiment of the method for producing a water-soluble disinfectant according to patent 579 897, in which chlorothymol is made water-soluble by adding soap. The chlorothymol soap solution obtained in this way is used for purposes which require absolutely clear water solubility in any desired dilution. The relatively high soap content is only necessary to meet this requirement. However, if you are satisfied with dilutions that contain less water than is necessary to dissolve the chlorothymol without the addition of soap, with emulsions, i.e. with the finest, even distribution of the chlorothymol in water, then you get by with significantly less soap. Thus, while in a io 0 ° Chlorthymolseifenlösung strength on ι part chlorothymol omitted / 3 parts soap, it is possible in an analogous manner to produce a 50 ° / O Chlorthymolseifenlösung strength, on a part chlorothymol only half part is omitted in the soap. However, the emulsions produced from this stock solution by dilution with water only last for a short time, and the chlorothymol very soon precipitates in crystalline form. It has now further been found that durable emulsions obtained if not, as previously used for the preparation of So ° / O by weight Chlorthymolstammlösung castor oil or related oils, but a mixture of resin and oleic acid. Such a chlorothymol solution is prepared by e.g. B. 20 parts of rosin or a similar resin, 2 parts of olein, 20 parts of alcohol, 50 parts of chlorothymol, 8 parts of sodium hydroxide solution (40 0 Be) melts together. The alcohol can be partially or completely replaced by other substances that lower the freezing point of the chlorothymol, such as. B. cyclohexanone, camphor and others
