So
Process for the preparation of a readily soluble sulfuric acid ester from reduced 1, 2, 2 ', 1'-anthraquinone azine Patent 424 981 describes the preparation of acidic esters of leuco vat dyes, in particular acidic esters of sulfuric acid. These acid esters are soluble in water in the form of salts and are not stable. The vat pigment on which they are based can easily be restored from these bodies by acidic oxidation (hydrolysis and oxidation). The latter can happen on the fiber. These ester salts are therefore used, among other things, for dyeing and printing textile fibers. For example, according to the method of patent specification 424 981, the leuco compound of a vat dye is reacted with chlorosulfonic acid in the presence of a tertiary base and the ester formed is converted into a stable alkali salt. This process has been modified and improved in various additions.
i'-anthrachinonazin handelt.
in bekannter Weise erhältlichen 1, 2, 2', i'-Anthrachinonazin ausgeht und dasselbe
If the vat dye N-dihydro-1, 2, 2 ', 1'-anthraquinone azine is converted into its leuco compound and this is esterified by the process of patent 424 981 (see Example 7 of the patent mentioned), a product is obtained which is probably water-soluble and is constant, but that for certain purposes, e.g. B. for printing textile fibers, is too sparingly soluble. Analysis of this product shows that it is a disulfuric acid ester of leuco-N-dihydro-1, 2, 2 ', i'-anthraquinonazine. It has now been found that a new route can be used to obtain an ester salt which is also derived from the vat dye N-dihydro-i, 2, 2 ', r'-anthraquinonazine, but which in comparison with the product according to Example 7 of Patent 424,981 is much more soluble. The new ester salt is obtained if one starts with the 1, 2, 2 ', i'-anthraquinone azine obtainable in a known manner from N-dihydro-i, 2, 2', i'-anthraquinone azine, and the same in excess tertiary base treated with the addition product of SO, and tertiary base with the participation of a metal in the reaction mixture for the purpose of reducing the keto groups of the anthraquinone derivative to enol groups, while. one works with the complete exclusion of free acid. The new body obtained in this way can be converted into a stable, easily soluble alkali salt. It appears to be a tetrasulphuric acid ester, probably the tetrasulphuric acid ester of tetrahydro-1, 2, 2 ', 1'-anthraquinonazine.
N-Dihydroi. 2, 2', i'-anthrachinonazin leicht zurückbilden.
Textilfasern verwendet werden..Such a course of the reaction could not be foreseen. It would have expected
can be that the same sparingly soluble disulfuric acid ester of leuco-N-dihydro-1,
2, 2 ', i'-anthraquinonazine would form, as it would after the procedure of the patent
424 981 is obtained,
This tetraester is extremely sensitive
against acid. If a solution of this tetraester is mixed with acid; so occurs
violet body, which is sparingly soluble and which is identical to the well-known diester
or is very similar to him. As expected, this tetraester can be passed through
acidic oxidation (hydrolysis and oxidation) of the "vat color on which it is based
N-dihydroi. Slightly regress 2, 2 ', i'-anthraquinonazine. It can therefore do this
Ester salt for dyeing and, thanks to its good solubility, especially for printing
Textile fibers are used.
2 Aminoanthrahydrochinondischwefelsäureesters in alkalischer Lösung (siehe Patentschrift
Man erwärmt
The same or a very similar body seems to have already been obtained, but in a completely different way, namely by oxidation of the 2 aminoanthrahydroquinone disulfuric acid ester in an alkaline solution (see patent specification 470 809 and British patent 334 902) The new process is illustrated by the following example: While cooling with ice and stirring, 20 g of pure SO3 are added dropwise to 250 g of anhydrous pyridine. A mixture of 22 g of 1, 2, 2 ", i'-anthraquinonazine and 22 g of pure copper is added to this reaction mixture in the cold with stirring. ER 1 warms the mass in dry, air-free stream of nitrogen for about iljQ hours at 70 ° C. the color is green at the beginning, is slowly blue, violet afterwards and finally a deep red. It is cooled in a mixture of 70 g Na OH 30 % and ice poured in. The mixture is warmed for a short time to 50 ° C., the copper is filtered off and the pyridine is distilled off in vacuo. The aged alkaline solution is yellow-brown colored and shows very strong green fluorescence. It is concentrated in vacuo to the consistency of the paste.
