Air heater with fan for space heating. The invention relates to
a flue gas-heated air heater with a fan for space heating, the
is attached with its back to a wall or column, with the to
warming air before it enters the heat exchanger; too much heating
the wall or column through the heat exchanger to prevent between them
and the wall or the column is guided in a fresh air duct so as to be horizontal
step across the heat exchanger.
- .The essence of the invention now consists in the air heater
set up so that he. temporarily, e.g. B. if only a low heating power is required
is, taking advantage of the natural buoyancy of the warming air at standstill
Fan can be operated. -.
den Abb. i und a dargestellt.
Abb. a eine Vorderansicht derselben. This can be achieved in that a pressure fan above the
Heat exchanger and the fresh air duct and an air inlet flap in the floor
of the fresh air Karials arranged approximately at the level of the lower end of the heat exchanger
will. When the fan comes to a standstill, the fresh air flap is opened and it is created
a flow of air through natural buoyancy. If not with the type of blower
Air can pass through automatically by stopping the fan
the fan is prevented, a suitable locking device must be installed in front of or behind the fan
An embodiment of the subject invention is shown in FIG
Figs. i and a shown. Fig. I shows a vertical section through the device,
Fig. A is a front view of the same.

soll, i eine Umschaltklappe. The figures show the individual parts of the device with the
Reference numerals a to i, namely d denotes the firing device for
which is assumed in the example for gas firing, but which is also used as firing for fixed ones
or liquid fuel can be formed, b the heat exchanger, through the
in a known manner the fire gases flow upwards in closed paths while
the walls of these paths are painted outside by the air to be heated, c that
Fan (e.g. a centrifugal fan), d the air duct through which the air from the
Blower after the heat = exchange b flows, e the smoke pipe that is from the puffs of fire
of the heat exchanger leads to a chimney, f a safety device
against back pressure of the flue gases (pipe interruption), g a motor for the drive. of
Blower, h the opening through which the heated air flows out of the device
should, i a reversing flap.
As long as the fan is operating, the bottom of the air duct must
d remain closed. On the other hand, it can be opened when the fan is at a standstill
the heating of the air using its natural buoyancy in the air heater
causes
shall be. If the fan is of such a design that when it is at a standstill no
significant buoyancy of air through the fan is to be expected (as
z. B. with centrifugal, capsule or piston blowers), it is necessary to switch
of the air flow in its direction only of opening or closing the fresh air flap
in the bottom of the air duct. On the other hand, the stationary fan allows the air to go free
Passage (such as with a screw fan), so it is necessary when opening
the fresh air flap to close the air path of the blower. According to the invention
In such cases, the fresh air flap of the air duct is so with the closure device
of the fan is coupled so that it closes when the bottom flap is opened-
and vice versa.
