Gegenstand der Erfindung bezieht sich auf eine Zigarettenlöschvorrichtung mit zwei einander gegenüberliegenden, wahlweise zu benutzenden Löschkammern und einem zwischen den Kammern hin und her bewegbaren, zu deren Entleerung dienenden Schieber. Löschvorrichtungen ähnlicher Art sind bereits bekannt. Doch müssen bei diesen bekannten Vorrichtungen die zu löschenden Stummel je in eine besondere Löschhülse gesteckt werden. Das Neue der Erfindung besteht nun darin, daß die beiden Löschkammern in einem mit einer Einstecköffnung versehenen Behälter angeordnet sind und ihre Wände zum Teil durch den Behälter, zum Teil durch den Schieber gebildet werden, der zwei mit einer gemeinsamen Mittelwand sowie mit je einer Bodenwand versehene Rinnen aufweist, von denen die jeweils unter der Einstecköffnung ao liegende die zu löschende Zigarette aufnimmt und beim Verstellen des Schiebers in eine seiner Endstellungen in die dadurch entstehende Löschkammer führt und^; in dieser festhält, bis der Schieber in die andere Endas stellung bewegt wird und dann der gelöschte . Die Zigarettenlöschvorrichtung besteht im wesentlichen aus einem mit einer Einsteck-Öffnung ι versehenen Behälter 2, in dem ein Schieber 3 hin und her bewegbar ist. Der Behälter 2 hat hiernach zwei Kammern, deren Wände zum Teil durch den Behälter, zum Teil durch den Schieber gebildet werden. Der -45 Schieber 3 (Abb. 2) hat zwei eine gemeinsame Mittelwand 4 und je eine Boden wand 12 aufweisende Rinnen 10 und 11, von denen die jeweils unter der Einstecköffnung 1 liegende Rinne die zu löschende Zigarette 9 aufnimmt und beim Verstellen des Schiebers in eine seiner Endstellungen in die dadurch entstehende Löschkammer führt. Der Schieber wird mittels in Führungsschlitzen 6 der Behälterwand gleitender Handgriffe 5 geführt und weist zu beiden Seiten seiner Mittelwand 4 kammartig angeordnete, mit ihren Enden etwas nach oben gebogene Federungszungenpaare 8 auf, die in entsprechende, je an der Innenseite der gegenüberliegenden Behälterwand zu ihnen versetzt angeordnete Zungenpaare 7 greifen.
