Bei solchen Selbstverkäufern, bei denen die Einschaltung des Werkes mit Hilfe der in den Münzkanal eingeworfenen Münze und eines gegen sie drückenden Stößels von Hand veranlaßt wird, bleibt die Münze im Kanal vom Stößel so lange festgeklemmt, bis der Stößel freigegeben wird. Dann kann auch erst die Münze abfallen und das Werk zur Abgabe des Warenstücks in Gang setzen.
Nach vorliegender Erfindung wird ein von der Freigabe des Stößels ganz unabhängiges und plötzliches Abfallen der Münze dadurch erzielt, daß der Münzkanal nach Einleitung seiner Bewegung mittels des Stößels und der eingeworfenen Münze durch Auslösung eines Sperrhebels selbsttätig fortbewegt wird. Dadurch wird auch die Münze vom Stößel frei und kann unbehindert abfallen.
