Die Schaltvorrichtung 6 ist mittels eines Sicherheitsschlüssels 3 in das Gehäuse hineindrück- und feststellbar, in welcher Stellung der Kontakt zwischen dem ankommenden und abgehenden Zündstrom geöffnet und in der Offenlage somit gleichzeitig gesperrt ist. Ein Schließen des Stromkreises ist nur -wieder durch Lösen der Sperrung der hineingedrückten Schaltvorrichtung 6 mittels des Schlüssels möglich. Alle in dem Spulengehäuse untergebrachten Teile sowie das zugehörige Gehäuse 4 sind durch eine Gußmasse innig miteinander verbunden, so daß die Anschlüsse für die Zu- und Abgangsleitung 7 und 8 unzugänglich sind. Bei unterbrochenem Stromkreis können daher auch außerhalb des Spulengehäuses keinerlei Verbindungen, an welche Umgehungsleitungen anschließbar sind, hergestellt werden.
