Die Kokillen leiden daher weniger unter der Gießhitze und .können vermöge ihrer raschen Abkühlung in einer bestimmten Zeit sehr viele Güsse liefern, sind also nicht nur in der Herstellung, sondern auch im Gebrauch billiger als Schleudergußkohllen mit Seelenrohr. Solche Kokillen sind sehr teuer und haben derb Nachteil, daß sie die Hitze des Gußstückes zu langsam ableiten.
