Description
Precipitation electrode for vertical electrostatic precipitators It is used in many ways in vertical electrostatic precipitators, precipitation electrodes with corrugated surfaces to whom the precipitated dust settles and from which it passes through in certain ways Intermittent vibration of the electrodes is released. It has now the inconvenience shown that in the usual way of corrugated sheet metal Precipitation electrodes - some of the dust again during operation falls off by itself and is carried away by the gas flow before the shaking is used Has. This considerably reduces the cleaning effect of the filter. Im the following will show how this deficiency can be eliminated.
According to the invention, the collecting electrodes for vertical clektrofilter formed in such a way that the tops of the corrugations with such There is a tendency that the dust only occurs when the electrodes are shaken by this falls off, but remains on them when the electrodes are at rest. the For this purpose, collecting electrodes can expediently consist of a known per se Consist of zigzag folded sheet metal. The dust then remains during the Operation of the electrostatic precipitator lies and will only lie on the tops of the corrugations every now and then, after about several hours, by shaking the electrodes Waste brought by these. During the period of shaking, of course, in Usually the voltage is switched off, so that an explosion because of the Shaking off occurring large dust density can not take place. During the Operation takes place because of the proposed peculiar design of the collecting electrode the dust does not fall off, so that in this way a particularly good one Cleaning effect is achieved.
It is of course to be noted that in this training the Collecting electrode the dust is only deposited in the depressions of the electrode, that, however, the edges that lie at the beginning of the spray electrodes remain free, around here to prevent a reduction in the distance between the spray and precipitation electrodes due to the deposition of the precipitated dust on the collecting electrode entry. One can achieve in this way that the breakdown voltage at a such electrode practically does not become smaller with increasing dust precipitation.
A further improvement can also be achieved in that on the electrode in front of every inclined section of the same and towards it. running parallel to it in a manner known per se, a wire is attached taut, the purpose of the Cleaning the collecting electrode performed shaking the same vibrates. The arrangement of these wires on the one hand the advantage achieved that the electric field in the filter is evened out. On the other hand, these wires, which are only used when cleaning the electrodes start to vibrate, shaking off the dust from the electrodes is greatly encouraged, so that each time the electrode is shaken, the electrode is cleaned well in a short time will.
In the figure is a filter implemented in this way, which z. B. can be used for dedusting roasting gases, shown in section for example.
In this are alternating Spray electrodes: 2 and collecting electrodes 3 suspended. The spray electrodes 2 are connected in a known manner to a suitable high-voltage power source. As the figure shows, the collecting electrodes 3 consist of a zigzag shape folded sheets. The tops of the individual folds are in such a measure inclined to the horizontal so that the dust remains on them as long as the Electrode is not shaken. However, as soon as the electrode is shaken, it slips down by itself without further ado. In the individual wave troughs of the Precipitation electrodes 3 are also parallel to the corrugations wires q. tense, which only start to vibrate when cleaning the electrode and then shaking it off of the dust still promote, so that a good cleaning of the electrode with each shaking is achieved.
