The invention represents a further development of that protected in the main patent 566 586
Three-wire high-voltage cable. The basic idea in this was, in the case of an oil-filled high-voltage cable, its
individual conductors are provided with paper insulation, while maintaining a wide
central access channel of the oil on the perimeter of the paper insulation, this latter so
shield against tangential currents so that the lines of force are essentially only radial
can run. This was done by inserting three profiled metal wires,
which rest with their outer surfaces on the common lead jacket, inwards
but penetrate through the center of two veins, reached.
geradlinigen Verbindungsweg bietet. It turns out, however, that with such profiled metal wires, if they, as in the
Drawing of the main patent shown, executed with a symmetrical cross-section,

from more inwardly located parts of the paper insulation of a wire to the paper insulation

Such a shaped wire is shown individually in Fig. 2.
It can readily be seen that the surface c, c ', which rests closely on the paper insulation, at its end c' intercepts the tangential currents which could otherwise "pass" from one paper insulation to the other in approximately the direction x, y.
