Description
Pot spinning machine for yarn from draftable rovings It is already It has been suggested some time ago to be made from bast fiber, cotton and other yarns To spin draftable slivers on centrifuge spinning machines with drafting equipment. at This proposal was based on the assumption that the usual spinning machines with trailed part, such as B. ring spinning machines or wing spinning machines, one exerted too much tension on the thread, causing it to suffer. This strong thread is too big and should therefore be replaced by the centrifugal force of a spinning pot in such a way that a much less tension is exerted on the thread will. Although the well-known proposal is almost 40 years old, it did not turn into was able to introduce the practice.
Recent experiments have shown that the requirements of that time Proposal that the strong thread is harmful are wrong. On the contrary it was found that following your stated procedure with low thread tension can not achieve a useful result. Although it is possible to use the thread in the specified Way to twist and spool in the pot; however, its strength properties are inferior to the yarns produced in the usual way.
The invention is based on the knowledge that one pulls the thread essential when spinning yarns from draftable slivers on centrifuge spinning machines must increase in order to achieve a usable yarn. It was found and Here the invention lies in particular that the introduced into the spinning pot The tensile force acting on the thread must be made at least large enough to cope with the centrifugal force that corresponds to a spin pot of at least z4omm inside diameter at a minimum speed of 6,000 revolutions per minute on this thread. The yarns spun in this way receive a strength that fully meets the requirements placed on them, even exceeds the usual average values. The yarns themselves get it a very even appearance.
According to the invention, the inner diameter and speed of the spin pot can be determined dimensioned so that the tensile force to be imparted to the thread supplied by the drafting system caused solely by centrifugal force. For example, if you choose a pot with greater Inner diameter than i 40 mm, so you can with the speed go down accordingly to get the same centrifugal force values for the thread. The use of larger pots has the advantage that they have a larger capacity which can significantly increase the time for a deduction. on the other hand can be used when using smaller pot diameters and correspondingly higher speeds choose a smaller machine division, which saves space.
Instead of just using centrifugal force to generate the necessary to use high thread tension, one can proceed according to the invention so that the force acting on the thread partly through centrifugal force, partly through a artificially induced air movement is generated in the thread guide tube. To this Purpose, the spinning pot or its lid itself can be designed as an air conveyor, wherein the thread guide tube connects as closely as possible to the lid opening to the Prevent ingress of secondary air. But you can also make the arrangement so that the spinning pot to generate the air movement in the thread guide tube in a below Vacuum housing is set through which the thread guide tube passes. The air then flows through the thread guide tube into the negative pressure space and exercises doing a pull on the thread. This air movement in the thread guide tube does not have only the effect of an increased thread tension. it also reduces friction of the thread at the deflection point at the lower end of the thread guide tube and permitted it is to choose the centrifugal force correspondingly smaller, be it by reducing the Pot diameter, be it by reducing the speed. The air movement in the thread guide tube has another important meaning; namely, it makes insertion easier of the thread in the pot, so that you can possibly get by without special tools.
In the drawing are two exemplary embodiments of the invention schematically illustrated, namely in Fig. i for a machine in which the necessary thread tension is caused solely by centrifugal force, while in the example the Fig. a the thread pull partly by centrifugal force, partly by air movement is caused in the thread guide tube.
In both figures i is the thread, the one in the drafting system z is more arbitrary Design initially warped, passed through the thread guide tube 3 into the spinning pot 4 and is wound up there. A cam is used to drive the thread guide tube 3 5, the lifting mechanism 7 carrying the individual thread guides via a lever 6 and off moves.
In the example of FIG. I, the diameter and speed of the pot are 4 chosen so that the centrifugal force generated by the mass of the rotating piece of thread 8 is so great that the tension in the piece of thread 9 between the drafting system and the deflection point of the thread guide tube reached the desired, relatively high value, which for Production of a flawless thread is necessary.
In the example according to FIG. Z, the one in the piece of thread 9 is desired The tensile force is only partially generated by the centrifugal force acting on the piece of thread $, for example because the pot has a smaller diameter or with a smaller one Speed is operated. The difference between the desired pulling force and the The tensile force generated by the centrifugal force in the piece of thread 8 is caused by an air movement caused in the thread guide tube 3. The spin pot is used to generate the air movement Enclosed in a housing io, daa with a connection i r to an air pump o. The like. Is connected and is therefore under negative pressure. The thread guide tube 3 is guided airtight in a socket 1z of the housing io. The air can then only flow through the thread guide tube into the vacuum chamber io and thereby practice a additional tensile force on the piece of thread 9.
A wide variety of yarn types, such as weft yarn, can be used on the new machine and warp yarn of various qualities, known per se for each yarn number Way can be made by looking at the relationship between delivery speed and head speed changes.
On the new pot spinning machine, yarns made from draftable Manufacture rovings using both dry and wet spinning processes. In particular, the machine brings great advantages when spinning such yarns, where it was previously only possible to work with low delivery speeds, such as z. B. in flax, which is spun by the wet spinning process.
