The present grain cutters with round knives have the following very noticeable drawbacks.

First, it is impossible for them to test different samples side by side, because the cutting of a second sample only after the removal of the individual grain halves from the lower plate is possible and this in the mess on their cut surfaces can no longer be compared.

Secondly, when cutting up, the grains jump out of the top plate, so that the holes that have become empty for the purpose of assessment get lost.
