unterworfen.Process for the production of white opacifiers The subject of patent 560 497 is a '' learned '' for the production of ``% '' quick opacifiers for enamels from substances such as zirconia, technical titanium oxide and the like, due to the simultaneous presence of iron as a minor impurity on the one hand and Titanium, on the other hand, can give rise to undesirable Z-staining. According to the same, such raw materials are intimately mixed with a small amount of phosphoric acid or soluble phosphates or a mixture of these substances, advantageously in ground form, and an annealing process, e.g. B. at 100 to 100 ° C, subjected.
It has now been found that you can especially in those cases where it
the application of cast enamel by powdering, dusting and the like of the heated
iron objects, this procedure can be modified in an advantageous manner.
This modification consists in changing the response between the above
Stoben can be carried out in the presence of enamel parts, in such a way that one
the mixture of iron and titanium containing raw materials and phosphorus compounds
offset with the offset parts of the actual email offset and then the whole thing,
as usual with emails, melts through. After subsequent comminution or grinding
of the product can then be applied in the usual way to the surface of the
objects to be enamelled e.g. B. dusted or in any other suitable manner
be applied. The objects treated in this way are then fired as usual.
Such a way of working offers the same effect
with regard to the formation of pure-colored white opacifiers, the particular advantage
combine the production of the same with the actual enamelling process and
to be able to simplify the entire process considerably and make it cheaper.
Beispiel
Teilen JIagnesiumcarbonat innig vermischt.
It is known to scrim in the opacifier when producing powder enamel. Surprisingly, it has been shown that phosphoric acid or soluble phosphates or mixtures of this kind in the presence of other enamel substitutes and with the brief exposure that is possible in the present case have an equally advantageous effect on the iron and titanium-containing raw materials as EXAMPLE 100 parts of ground zirconium sand and 10 parts of trisodium phosphate together with 258 parts of borax, 100 parts of feldspar, 50 parts of chalk, 25 parts of cryolite, 50 parts of soda, 31 parts of sodium nitrate, 100 parts of zinc oxide and 70 parts of magnesium carbonate The mixture obtained is then melted and ground and the powder obtained is then sprayed onto the objects to be enamelled, e.g. cast iron, in a glowing state, whereupon the objects treated in this way are subjected to a renewed heating process ljepudernt, wid heated # ns it will be like that frequently repeated until the applied enamel has the desired thickness.
