Description
Gas line to be inserted into the mouth for anesthetic purposes. To be used during anesthesia At present, masks are mainly used to supply the patient with the gas mixture. It is also. known, an inserted into the windpipe for the supply of the gases Catheter to use. The former type of supplying the gases complicates the necessary facial control, the second type mentioned is dangerous, there gagging symptoms may occur. The third option, the patient to conduct the gas through a simple pipe into the mouth has the disadvantage that the The gas flow escaping from the tube is not constantly directed towards the patient's throat is; this leads to gas losses, as does the inhalation of secondary air make the anesthesia impossible. The following is now the subject the invention described or shown on the drawing of the said Avoids evils. On the @ cheeks of the patient are two tubes a, the front one Ends at the point where they rest on the corners of the mouth are bent so that the openings of the tubes, each by a hoarding b before closing the cheek mucosa are secured, are directed towards the throat. The pipes a are held by a rubber band c, adjustable with a slider d, which holds the two Tubes a connects and is placed over the back of the head, pulled firmly into the corners of the mouth and are stuck with all movements of the patient. At the same time this is by pulling the corners of the mouth apart, enlarges the field of vision for oral operations.
