Cylinder drying machine for guided in tape form or in loose condition
originally spun fibrous materials The invention relates to the drying of roving,
especially of card sliver, sliver and also loose fibers. -In the case of combed dryers
it is already known, a series of successive drums with a perforated jacket
to use, over which the material to be dried is guided under tension. The drums
can be as far away from each other as you want, because the band is through its
Tension and relatively great strength easily from one drum to the other
next is pulled over. For card sliver and loose fibers, however, are the known ones
Drum dryer not usable.
gesehen.A continuously working drum dryer that can be used for such goods
To create is the purpose of the present invention, which is hereinafter at hand
of the drawings, of which Fig. i is a vertical longitudinal section
through the drying chamber, Fig.2 is a plan view of this and Fig. 3 is a vertical one
Represents cross section through the line III-III of Fig. I. Fig.q. is an enlargement
of the upper part of Fig. 3, Fig. 5 is a view of the drum in Fig. 4 from the left
seen.
The essence of the invention is that 'that the dry goods over a
Row of drums T ,, T_, T $ etc. (Fig. I) made of perforated metal sheets, made of sieves
or from rods or wire, which are arranged so that the dry goods
covers the largest possible part - the drum circumference (about 5/5) and the drums
At those points where the material passes from one drum to the other, roller joints
form, d. H. that they are moved together to the thickness of the tape, so that the transition
of the items to be dried from one drum to the other due to the suction effect of the air
is fully secured. The drying air is generated from the inside of the drums
sucked out by powerful fans, and thereby the dry material is through
the negative pressure in the screen drums is held on the circumference of the same. Around
To achieve an adhesive effect, it must be prevented that the air through the dry material
uncovered part of the drum circumference goes through, which is why the same by cover plates
D is completed, which set up displaceable in the tape direction or with
adjustable sealing edges are provided, which are normally set so that
that both sealing edges of each drum opposite to the direction of movement over the
Point of the smallest drum distance (incorrectly touch point of the drums)
be moved out, which is achieved that the adhesive effect of the material
donate
Drum stops a little before the transition point, nourishing
that of the drum taking over the material begins a little earlier.
worden. For other drum dryers with screen jackets, cover plates are schZ; n
known. Their purpose is largely to prevent air from being covered by them
Parts of the drum circumference goes through, but not the adhesion of the tape to the
Drum start at a certain point or pause because
in this case with any adhesion caused by the induced draft of the air
is not to be expected. Erie displacement of the sealing edges of the cover plates
the direction of movement would make no sense here and is never suggested
been.
Of the two drum bottoms, one is full, the other has an opening,
which-leads to the suction nozzle of the fan. All screening drums are driven equally.
As emphasized, the drying air is sucked out of the inside of the drums,
by almost half above the upper, the other half below .the lower
Row of sieve drums, evenly distributed as possible, pressed back into the drying chamber
after the air has passed the radiators. The drying takes place after
the countercurrent principle. The tapes enter the in the direction of arrow P1
Apparatus, the fresh air, however, is through the last or the last drums
(in Fig. i T. and Tio) sucked in by the fan V1, through the radiator
pressed and z. B. in the rooms R1 above the drums T7 and T9 and below
the drums T8 and Tlo pressed. However, this air becomes by far in the further course
largest parts are sucked in again by the fan V1, while only a small part goes to the
Fan V. is coming. The ventilator V., which sucks the
Air after further heating into the rooms R. below the drums TB and T8 and
above the drums TS and T7 presses. This goes on until the last fan
V5, which releases a small part of the air that can be regulated by a flap, the
Rest promoted to room RS. So the tapes come with the hottest one at the entrance
Air, in contact with direct fresh air when it escapes. The drying is done through
the large amounts of air that the ligaments must penetrate as the ligaments do not give way
can, increased to a maximum, and yet injuring the ligaments is not
possible. The number and arrangement of the drums can be made as desired,
likewise the arrangement of the fans, the radiators and the air duct.
