Electrical switch, the contacts of which in a closed, evacuated
Glass vessel are arranged and transferred its contact movements from the outside to the inside
The invention relates to electrical switches in which the contacts
housed in an evacuated or filled with an inert gas glass vessel
are. It is already known the distance from housed in an evacuated glass vessel

exposed to static or permanent stress. One also has repetitive ones

transferred to parts that do not touch and therefore no significant back pressure

Die Zeichnung veranschaulicht in mehreren Ausführungsbeispielen die
Anwendung der Erfindung bei elektrischen Vakuumunterbrechern. Diese sind im Längsschnitt
dargestellt.
The drawing illustrates, in several exemplary embodiments, the application of the invention to electrical vacuum interrupters. These are shown in longitudinal section. At . the embodiment according to Fig. r, the glass envelope a has a thin-walled tubular extension b. The electrode c to be moved is melted into this. The fixed electrode d is melted into the opposite end of the glass envelope. The electrodes are expediently made of molybdenum wires, which establish the electrical connection with their ends lying one above the other. They are provided with contacts e and f, which are formed very simply by bending the wire ends in the manner shown in Fig. Z in a spiral. The glass envelope a is clamped between jaws i. The attachment b carrying the movable electrode is deflected by a cam wheel, the cams of which press on the outermost end of the attachment b. With each press the contact of f lab is lifted and the electrical circuit is interrupted. It is advisable not to let the cam wheel act directly on part b, but rather on a resilient element that mediates the transmission of the movement to part b.
Die Glashülle a
According to Fig. 3, the contacts e, f are not transverse to the introduction,
but in the direction of introduction, separated by pulling on the glass envelope.
The train is exercised again by a cam wheel, which is directed to the end of the
Electrode c pushes attached pin 1a. On the opposite
end
the breaker is attached by any suitable means. The glass envelope a
is provided with walls acting as a membrane in or bellows-like in order to
to achieve the necessary elasticity.
also verdoppelt wird.
zu große Erwärmung auftritt.4 shows a breaker in which the contact c is influenced indirectly, namely by a small glass rod h connected to the tubular extension b. This transmits the pressures that are exerted on the extension b by means of the cam wheel g to the electrode c and thus separates the two contacts e and f. The device can also be made so that the rod h alternately on the two electrodes c and d presses so that each press on the extension b results in two interruptions. the number of interruptions is thus doubled. This embodiment has the particular advantage that the part of the glass vessel wall which provides the elasticity does not carry any current-carrying parts. The resilience of the vessel wall is therefore in no way made more difficult by anchors or feedthroughs of metallic parts. This is important especially in apparatuses for large currents, in which the power supply line must be dimensioned generously, taking into account the uneven thermal expansion of the metallic conductor and the glass, so that excessive heating does not occur.
The interrupter shown in Fig. 5 has a glass envelope
two extensions b arranged in a V-shape for the two electrodes e and d. The breaker
is clamped so that both parts b by the same means of movement g at the same time
to be influenced. This design has the advantage that the breaker is shorter
will.
Instead of the cam wheel, other means for moving the
Contacts are used, e.g. B. an electromagnet whose armature with the glass envelope
or the elastic part thereof is connected. The high resistance of the insulator
acting vacuum or a suitable gas causes the sudden interruption
of the electric current. As a result of this property, z. B. when using
of the circuit breaker for ignition devices of internal combustion engines, the use of the
otherwise usual capacitor.
