Seele des Metalls besteht.Electric incandescent lamp which forms the subject of the present invention
an electric incandescent lamp with its luminous body, which essentially consists of
a carbide of tantalum or a metal of the tantalum group, possibly with one
The soul of the metal.
Such luminous bodies are because of their high electrical resistance
and their high melting point already in British patent specification 88 [0 / 19o6]
suggested; However, they have not proven themselves because the tantalum carbide at higher
Temperature releases the carbon again and transforms itself back into tantane metal.
It was therefore obvious that the carbon should be released through a
to counteract the known inert gas fillings; incoming attempts but
showed that even when using one of the known. Pressurized gas fill the luminosity
of the incandescent body could not be used, but decreased rapidly.
So z. B. besitzt technisches Argon oft
The present invention remedies this drawback. It is based on
the knowledge that the previously used pressurized gas fillings, insofar as they are not downright
consisted of nitrogen, consistently more or less large proportions of nitrogen
which contained a transformation of the tantalum carbide into. Far less for lighting purposes
resulted in a suitable tantalum stride. So z. B. often has technical argon
To% and above nitrogen, and even purified argon still contains for
the present luminous element material contains considerable amounts of nitrogen. Accordingly
according to the invention, the lamp receives after venting and before melting
a filling with your pure gas, inherent to tantalum carbide, e.g. B. pure, nitrogen-free
Argon, so that when the lamp is heated, an overpressure is created inside the lamp
i, which reduces carbon leakage from the carbide
and is slowed down without the luminous element being converted into tantalum nitride. Here
It has also proven to be useful to use the tantalum carbide luminaire in
