Description
The invention relates to an ink fountain roller drive, in which the ink fountain roller to prevent blockages in the outflow gap the paint box is temporarily turned back against its normal direction of rotation due to contamination of the paint. It is already known in machines with intermittently driven ink fountain rollers that Reverse rotation as well as forward movement intermittently by means of a ratchet mechanism controlled by a curve cause. In this case, however, the turning back takes place relatively slowly, see above that the removal of the impurities and the mixing with the pure color little is effective.
The invention now shows a way as the effect of the backward rotation of the ink fountain roller can be improved. It consists in that on an adjustable crank pin the fountain roller engages a spring which is tensioned during the forward movement of the fountain roller and when extinguished of the fountain roller drive turns the fountain roller back.
This device can be used particularly with advantage in machines with uninterrupted Driven ink fountain roller, which is coupled to a continuously rotating drive pulley by means of a ratchet lock is. This drive is z. B. common in rotary printing presses. In this Trap, a stop is placed in the path of the pawl of the rotating drive pulley, who triggers the pawl from the ratchet wheel at the appropriate time to prevent the ink fountain roller from rotating backwards through the cocked one Enable spring.
Of course, in such machines with automatic backward rotation of the inking fountain roller the fountain roller can be controlled so that they during the backward movement of the ink fountain roller of this is raised to an immediate transfer of the returned color to the To prevent vibratory roller.
The drawing shows the application of the invention in rotary printing machines Ink fountain roller continuously driven by a ratchet clutch.
Abb. Fig. Ι and 2 show the previous in rotary printing presses usual drive without controlled pawl in front and side view.
Fig. 3 is a front view of the controlled ratchet drive according to the invention.
A in Abb. 3.Fig. 4 is a plan view of the latch in the direction of arrow A in Fig. 3.
Fig. 5 shows the pawl drive with the pawl switched on, but without the control stop the handle.
Figs. 6 and 7 show the arrangement of the tension spring in a front view and side view, respectively on the ink fountain roller.
An der Scheibe 1 ist eine federbelastete Klinke 2 angeordnet, deren zugehöriges Sperrad 4 auf der Welle 3 der Farbkastenwalze befestigtAccording to Fig. 1 and 2, a disc 1 is used to drive the ink fountain roller, which is coaxial is mounted with the ink fountain roller on the machine frame and is set in continuous circulation in any way. At the disk 1 is a spring-loaded pawl 2 is arranged, the associated ratchet 4 on attached to the shaft 3 of the ink fountain roller
When the disk is rotated clockwise, the ink fountain roller is taken by the ratchet lock. This arrangement allows the fountain roller to quickly turn forwards and backwards by hand to clear the exit gap for the color of any impurities to make free.
The embodiment according to FIGS. 3 to 7 is based on the same drive. The drive pulley 5 is equipped with a spring-loaded pawl 6, the locking lug 6 a of which can be articulated in a manner known per se. In the exemplary embodiment, the ratchet wheel 7 is equipped with three teeth 7®, J h and J c . A bolt 9 is attached to the pawl 6, the axis of which is parallel to the axis of rotation of the pawl. This bolt forms a stop for lifting the pawl out of the ratchet wheel. The associated counter-stop 10 is attached to the machine frame and lies with its rounded head in the path of the bolt 9, which is expediently equipped with a roller to reduce the impact and friction.
Die Wirkungsweise der Vorrichtung ist folgende:At the opposite end of the fountain roller engages a crank pin 13 (Figs. 6 and 7) a spring 14 attached to the machine frame 15. The crank pin is expediently placed on the handwheel 11 provided in the rule, which is in this Trap is equipped with a cross rail 12. The crank pin is adjustable to to be able to regulate the tension of the spring. The device works as follows:
The drive pulley 5 is continuously driven in the direction of arrow B and transmits its rotary motion by means of the pawl 6 and the locking disk 7 to the shaft 8 of the ink fountain roller as long as the locking lug 6 a of the pawl rests against one of the teeth 7 °, J b , y c . When the disk 5 rotates, the roller pin 9 of the pawl runs onto the stop 10, so that the pawl is lifted off the ratchet wheel. However, the crank pin 13 at the other end of the ink fountain roller also takes part in the rotary movement of the ink fountain roller. As a result, the spring 14 is tensioned. The release of the pawl 6 by the stop 10 now takes place at a point in time at which the crank pin 13 has not yet reached its top dead center position. As a result, the ink fountain roller is quickly rotated back by the tensioned spring 14 after lifting the pawl 6. In the process, impurities are carried away in the outflow gap of the paint fountain, so that the gap is cleared again for pure paint to pass through. As soon as the stop 9 of the pawl 6 has left the stop 10, the locking lug 6 a of the pawl rests on the surface of the ratchet wheel 7 and slides on it until it hits the next tooth of the ratchet wheel 7, so that the ink fountain roller again is slowly rotated forwards in the direction of arrow B. As soon as the crank pin 13 of the spring 14 has exceeded its top dead center position, the tensioned spring 14 pulls the ink fountain roller forward in the direction of its forward movement (arrow B) until it has relaxed. It is only tensioned again when the locking lug 6 a of the pawl strikes a locking tooth of the locking disk 7 again. The ink fountain roller thus alternates between a slow forward rotation until the pawl is released, then a rapid reverse rotation, then a standstill until the pawl hits the next tooth of the ratchet wheel, then again a slow forward rotation until the crank pin has passed the top dead center position , then a rapid forward rotation until the spring relaxes, then another standstill until the locking nose hits the next tooth, etc.
The spring can also be replaced by a weight.
