Statt der durchstochenen Gummihülsen, welche sich nur bei einem bestimmten, Luftdruck öffnen, kann man ein Metallrohr verwenden, das einzelne Löcher aufweist, welche mit einem Gummiring überdeckt sind. Bei einem bestimmten Luftdruck dehnt sich der Gummiring aus, und die Luft kann aus dem Loch des Rohres durch den Zwischenraum zwischen dem Gummiring und dem Metallrohr in den Belüftungskörper eintreten.
