Description

Artificial molar pair That forming the subject of the invention artificial pair of molars is characterized by the fact that the bite surface of each of the both teeth, at least as far as they are in contact with the bite surface of the other tooth occurs, is ground. To ensure that the teeth fit together, they are cared for to be sharpened in places. Compared to such a sanding down in places it is about projections or a local grinding of depressions according to the invention to the idea of the glaze of the tooth on the whole Bite surface, at least as far as it is in contact with that of the opposing tooth occurs to be removed by grinding, so that only ground surfaces of the Teeth come into contact with each other. The advantage of such a tooth formation, which the dentist could not even do himself, because the production such grinding surfaces requires special tools, is that the sliding the teeth on each other is made much easier by the grinding of the contact surfaces is because the tooth glaze is noticeably larger due to its fine surface unevenness Has sliding resistance as a grinding surface that no longer has any unevenness. However, according to the reduction in friction, what is also reduced, which is significant is the thrust effect of the teeth. The grinding of the bite surfaces can be an. turn find: with the well-known so-called simplified molar tooth shapes, as well as with the molars adapted to the natural tooth shape. The drawing illustrates in Figs. i to 3 each an embodiment of one designed according to the invention Pair of molars.

In the embodiment of a molar pair shown in Fig. I and z with a simplified chewing surface, for example angular-raised or in the case of the opposing tooth can be angularly recessed (Section i) or which, as illustrated in Fig. a, part of a cylinder surface in a raised and oppositely recessed form can form, the entire bite surface b is ground. In the case of the one shown in Figure 3, The shape approximated to the natural molar shape with at least two saddle-shaped Peaks and valleys in each tooth are the walls of these peaks and valleys Wells ground, so that that part of the bite surface of everyone Tooth that comes into contact with the bite surface of the other tooth, grinding and only the depressions below those ground surfaces have the usual glaze.
