Die Erfindung bezweckt, die bisher übliche Abdichtung einer in einer Stopfbuchse sich drehenden Welle, insbesondere für Klein-Kältemaschinen vollkommen gasdicht zu gestalten. Das Neue besteht darin, daß die Welle (zwecks Verteilung eines abdichtenden Ölschleiers) in ihrer Längsrichtung zwangsläufig hin und her bewegt wird. Wie die Längsbewegung der Welle erfolgt, ist für die ίο Erfindung gleichgültig. Es ist bekannt, daß Wellen von Elektromotoren mit einem kleinen Längsspielraum ausgeführt werden, damit sich die elektromagnetischen Wirkungen nach beiden Längsrichtungen hemmungslos auf den Rotor auswirken können und gleichzeitig eine gleichmäßige Abnutzung des Kummutators oder Kollektors sowie eine wirksame Verteilung des Schmieröles in den Lagerschalen erfolgt. Dieses Spielen der Welle erfolgt aber hier nicht zwangsläufig, sondern die Welle wird, wenn sie sich in der einen Richtung verschoben hat, durch einen Anschlag gehemmt und erhält so einen Anstoß, sich in der entgegengesetzten Richtung zu bewegen. Dadurch, daß die Welle gemäß der Erfindung zwangsläufig hin und her bewegt wird, ist ständig ein dünner Ölschleier zwischen Welle und Packungsmaterial vorhanden, der die Welle gasdicht abschließt. Das Packungsmaterial kann so fest angezogen werden, daß nur ein hauchartiger Ölschleier entsteht, der vollkommen zur Abdichtung genügt und ein Festbrennen der Welle verhütet. In der Zeichnung ist ein Ausführungsbeispiel dargestellt, α ist ein Stopfbüchsgehäuse bekannter Art, das gegen einen Gasraum durch eine Flanschdichtung abgedichtet ist, b eine sich drehende Welle, die im Gasraum eine Kurbel, ein Exzenter oder einen Schleuderkreisel treibt; c sind Dichtungsringe aus Packungsmaterial, die durch Anziehen der Stopfbüchsbrille e an die Welle - angepreßt werden; d ist ein ölkammerring, der die Anzahl Dichtungsringe in zwei Teile teilt und eine mittlere Ölkammer bildet, so daß die innere Packung die Welle gegen den Gasraum und die äußere nur gegen den ölraum abzudichten hat; f ist eine Vorrichtung zur " Verschiebung der Welle, die jedoch auch vom Gasraum aus, beispielsweise durch Gasdruck oder Preßöl erfolgen kann.The aim of the invention is to make the hitherto customary sealing of a shaft rotating in a stuffing box, in particular for small refrigerating machines, completely gas-tight.
