Verfahren zum Brennen von Zement unter Verwendung eines Tellerschachtofens und eines nachgeschalteten Drehrohrofens Gegenstand der Erfindung ist ein Brennverfahren zur Herstellung von Zement oder ähnlichem Gut. Das betreffende pulverförmige Gut wird dann allmählich durch entsprechende Abstreicher und Öffnungen von einem Teller zum anderen befördert und gelangt alsdann in mehr oder weniger entsäuertem Zustande in einen dem Schachtofen, Tellerofen o. dgl. nachgeordneten Drehrohrofen zwecks Sinterung. Derartige Ofenanlagen haben sich praktisch jedoch nicht bewährt und einführen lassen, was in erster Linie darauf zurückgeführt werden muß, daß das pulverförmige Gut durch den Zug der Abgase des Drehrohrofens aus dem feststehenden Ofen herausgeführt und auch zum Teil entmischt wurde. Auch bei angefeuchtetem Rohmehl war eine Besserung nicht zu erzielen, da die Feuchtigkeit des Rohmehls sehr bald verdampft. Ein derartiges Verfahren bietet den wesentlichen Vorteil, daß das granulierte Gut über die kleineren öffnungen der einzelnen Teller im Tellerschachtofen hmwegbefördert wird und erst durch größere, besonders angeordnete Öffnungen zum nächsten Teller gelangt.
